Random Post #1-The Intro

So, maybe I've been thinking about blogging for quite some time now... I read some really interesting blogs every day and though I don't think I'm half as interesting as most of those people, I love that they have built their own little community of people who give them feedback, tons of shit and a good laugh every now and then. I'm hoping that I can accomplish the same thing because it's getting really boring being me these days and I've got a lot to say!

A little about me.... Right now my life is sort of stalled. I don't really know what I would even call it. Certainly not a mid-life crisis, I'm only about to turn 31. I've had a few life altering things go on over the last year that have left me questioning my sanity and myself in general. I celebrated my 2nd wedding anniversary last May, turned 30 in the middle of July, filed for divorce at the end of July, then got pregnant in August. My divorce was final in December and I had a baby in April. So maybe it is a mid-life crisis... Damn, I thought I had another good 10 years before those kind of things started happening.... Anywho, so that puts me here today, almost one full year since the shit started to hit the fan. More on all that later. I have two boys who are about to be 12 and 13 and just started all over with the little guy. It's amazing having a child when you're a responsible adult, as compared to when you're 18 or 19. Yes, I'm a glutton for punishment.

With the little "me" time that I get when not running kids around and whatnot, I enjoy making jewelry and hanging out with my friends. I try and get out to Vegas at least once a year because it's my favorite place in the whole world. Due to the events of the last year, I haven't gotten out there yet this year, but hopefully I'll get out in the fall, maybe with some friends.

I live in Ohio, was born in Pennsylvania, as of right now, have spent half my life in each state. No, I'm not a Buckeye fan, so you can spare me all the trash talking that comes along with that. Honestly, I don't get why people here are so farking rabid over the Buckeyes...Whatever. It's not that I'm not a sports fan, I love football, both college and pro, but the fans here are downright obnoxious. Try being a Penn State fan when they beat the Buckeyes last year....The endless harassment sucked.

Umm, what else? Oh yeah, I guess I should probably mention that I am a computer geek, but not in the way you may think. It's my job. I'd really rather be doing something else, like bartending full-time, but I gotta work off that student loan somehow and I figure it should be probably in the field for which I went to school. I've been with the same company for almost 11 years and it's a daily grind. Nothing interesting EVER happens here and some days just coming into work is like having the life sucked right out of you. My best friend works here which makes it tolerable and sometimes slightly funny. Oh yeah, my mom also works here, which sometimes is ok, most of the time not...

My hope is to post updates at least 3 times a week, but I'm sure life will get in the way, so we'll just have to see what happens. I guess that's all for now, I have some interesting ideas in the hopper for topics though, so check back soon!
