Pick It, Pack It, Fire It Up

So, I was just over at Conquer The Monkey reading Cameron's post about Andre Agassi's fake hair (that totally cracks me up, by the way) and her take on extreme people doing extreme things, specifically drugs, and whether it's ok that they are disclosing this kid of information when the kids that look up to them are bound to hear about it.

The question posted at the end of this entry was "If you used drugs in your younger years, would you fully disclose it to your kids?"  That's a good question.  Being as the big kids are now teenagers, or close enough to it, I'm pondering all the questions that they may or may not ask me.  I really try and be as truthful as humanly possible with them.  I think kids deserve that.  They don't deserve to grow up in a world totally sheltered from the harsh realities of life.  This is what has produced kids whose parents go with them on job interviews and still wipe their butts when they're 30.  You know, pretty much anyone under the age of 30 these days....  All that in itself is a whole different post.

Back to the topic at hand here.  A few years ago when both of them went through the DARE program, Gavin asked me if I ever did drugs.  He specifically listed out pretty much every drug you could imagine.  Luckily what I was totally into for quite a period of time didn't appear on that list, so it amounted to me admitting that I smoked pot back in the day.  I managed to wrangle Brandon into the conversation as well because I wasn't about to have this conversation twice.  I answered their questions the best I could without being too descriptive.  In the end, they were satisfied with my answers and that was the end of the conversation.

It did get me to thinking about back then though.  I moved here in the 10th grade from a tiny town.  My graduating class of around 700 here was the entire population of the high school, grades 7-12 there.  I came here as a naive 14 year old who had never been exposed to drugs or drinking.  I didn't party when I lived over there.  I hung out with my friends at the mall and was just all around a dorky kid.  You saw the pictures, I went through an ugly duckling phase from about 5th grade until the summer I moved here.  There is about a one year difference in the pictures below.  If I could find a damn school pic I would post it, but apparently I don't have all of those, only the ones from when we moved through graduation.

Anyways, despite my best efforts to fall into the "good" crowd when we moved here, I ended up falling in with something a whole lot lower on the social scale.  I had all intentions of befriending the rich kids and pulled it off for a period of time, but I couldn't keep up with them.  My parents didn't have the financial means to keep up with them I should say.  My neighborhood was solidly lower middle class, and that's where I started to make friends.  I have alot of great memories from that neighborhood and occasionally when I head over that way, I'll drive by the old duplex.  It's a shame to see what a dump that area has become.

I've always been a floater.  Someone without a core group of friends, I just floated between groups and was accepted by alot of them.  Eventually, I found the group that would eventually become my core crew.  Looking back on it all, I realize that if I wouldn't have met any of them, my life would be so completely different.  One night I had snuck out and gone to a party and smelled it for the first time.  People were smoking pot in the other room.  When I walked into the room, I had a flashback smack me square in the face.  Waking up when I was probably 7 or 8 to that smell when I got up in the morning.  It dawned on me that my mom and her boyfriends were smoking in the house at night.  Later on I realized that those cool feather hair thingys that you could buy at the fair weren't just to put in your hair, they made excellent roach clips.....  That night I smoked for the first time and after that I did it pretty much every day until I found out I was pregnant 3 years later.  In that three years, I pretty much fell to rock bottom.  I wanted to go back to the life we had in Pennsylvania.  I wanted to graduate with my friends over there.  When I smoked, I didn't care that I was somewhere I didn't want to be.  I almost failed the 11th grade due to my inability to a.) get to school in the morning and b.) stay there all day.  By then most of my "friends" had dropped out of school, so I wanted to hang out with them, not be at school.

My parents were totally ignorant as to what was going on with me.  They knew that I wanted to go back to PA, but wouldn't let me go live with my Nana and finish school there.  I hated them, what I hated more was the fact that I would come home stoned, only to smell the same smell wafting out from their room as they came out to chastise me for being out past curfew.  Oh well, I didn't care.  I'm sure I was fucked up when B was conceived.  That was the life I had chosen for myself.  I didn't have any aspirations beyond graduating high school and that was only because my mother tolerated my shitty grades as long as I passed.

When people ask me what it was like to have Brandon at the age of just over 18 and then turn around and have another one a year later, I tell them the truth.  Had I not gotten pregnant, I would have ended up in jail or dead.  It's hard to see that from what I've written here, because I'm leaving out so much, but believe me, my life could have turned out so much worse.

So, back to the question at hand, I think I owe it to them to give them as truthful an answer as possible.  Ultimately, when my kids are asked who their hero is, I want to be the first person who comes to mind, not some athlete who turned out to be fake as fuck in the long run.......

One of The Boys....

Ok, so apparently I wasn't completely truthful on WTH Wednesday.  We did get costumes bought for us at some point...  Check me out as Smurfette!  Strangely enough, I can't find any other Halloween pictures on my portable hard drive full of pictures I stole from my Nana's house.....  I know there are more.  Perhaps I didn't steal that photo album yet....

In the interest of going in a different direction from my song title, I thought I'd share some of my grandma's greatest hits in clothes for us girls.  Keep in mind, my sisters are twins while you laugh....  Things like this are SPECIFICALLY why I'm not a girly girl.  Yes, I blame it on my mother and Nana.  For your viewing pleasure....

BS, DS and me, probably Easter circa 1987

Again, Easter, we're obviously a little older and I look like a boy.  Actually, I look like G.  Weird, exactly like G.....only in a dress....

Thank God I didn't get an outfit with a bow.....

Wow, lots of Easter pictures.  LOOK, I actually look tall here!!  Ha, truth is, I was the shortest person in my grade until I grew 6 inches in one year during 8th grade...

God I was an idiot.  Where is my ribbon that I used to twirl around while I danced around like a kid having seizures?

Hope you're getting some good laughs outta this on this fine Friday morning :)

Smile For Me....

Won't ya just smile? For Me?

Who woulda thought that the simple act of someone crawling into my bed at 3am would set me up to wake up with a smile on my face this morning?  Bottom line, Kyle is home and I'm happy.  28 days is a long time for someone to be gone.  28 days is a lllllllllllllllooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggggggg time to go without sex.  Don't get me wrong, I'm all about a lil self love when necessary, but there really is no substitute for the real thing.

Though I only got to curl up with him for like 3 1/2 hours, it was nice.  He's taking me out to lunch today.  I'm sure it'll set off a whole new round of gossip with my coworkers.  They seem to be very interested in my life outside of work.  Some of them have had the pleasure of partying with me.  Some of them have been scared off because of partying with me.

I work for a small company.  At our peak 2 years ago, we had about 80 employees, most of which worked here in the office.  When I started 11 years ago, there were about 30 of us.  A core family of people, very much Mafia like.  Now we're at about 50 and shrinking by the week.  This is the only grown-up job I've ever had, so I can't compare office politics here with them elsewhere.  I never wanted an office job, what started as a simple purchasing job ended up being me thinking I should probably get something out of my $40,000 education.  I'd rather be bartending (where I'd probably make more money) to be quite honest.

Let's talk about the Work Mafia here for a minute.  It's quite simple around here, you're either in or your out.  I was "born" into "the family" because my mother works here.  There are alot of people who are spiteful because they're not part of "the family".  When Tara came to work here, she was also immediately part of "the family".   She's my best friend and she knew everyone who was in "the family" long before she came to work here.  Guilty by association I assume.... There have been several times where I've been singled out because of my status here.  It used to be often said that I was given preferential treatment because the Boss was my mom's best friend and someone who we spent a great deal of time with outside of the office.  I can assure you that this wasn't true.  She was harder on me than any other manager in this place, I can guarantee that.  She's gone now.  Downsizing they called it.

With the Boss gone, "the family" has changed some.  There is no longer a Boss.  Everyone kind of does their own thing now.  We see each other here and sometimes socially outside of work, but it's not like it used to be.  There are hardly any football parties where we are drunk beyond all recognition, holding up our red or blue stained fingers to indicate that we really did eat 400 jello shots and were too retarded to just use our tongues to get them out of the container.

With things the way they are here now, which essentially is everyone fearing every day that when they go into work, it may be their last day, there has been this breeding of hate and gossip.  Yes, I know workplace gossip has always existed, but right now it's different. With the downsizing, we have all taken on many more responsibilities.  Instead of just focusing my work day on all things technical, I spend most of my day purchasing.  Back to my roots here I guess.  People are angry that they're doing more and working for less.  Hourly people are only getting 32 hours a week.  Salary people have to take one unpaid day each pay period.  They trudge into work, always paranoid and always wishing they were somewhere else.

When they see those of us who frankly don't give a shit about our job status and still have a good time, you can see the hate in their eyes.  You can walk by and see them whispering to each other on a daily basis.  I'll say this I DON'T GIVE A FLYING FUCK IF I HAVE A JOB TOMORROW.  I know I can go elsewhere, even in this economy and make more money.  Do I want to?  Well no, I've become far too comfortable here.  I may tell you that I hate my job, but in all reality, I don't.  It can be a fun place to be.  I miss the fun days, but I do what I want, when I want and nobody says anything about it.  While I'm here, I'm going to have a good time with the people that I like and not let the paranoid people bring me down.

There is nothing worse in my opinion then walking by someone and saying a simple "Good Morning" or "How are you today" and getting an eye roll or "I'm gettin by".  Ok, if I'm having a bad day, I may do that to T or one of my close peeps here, but I would never do that to anyone else.  I put on my happy face and smile and give them AT LEAST an "I'm good, how about you?"  if they're really lucky, they get an "I'm fucking fabulous today, how you doin?" with a big toothy grin.  I think it's rude to bring other people down because you're being in an asshole mood.  That's just me though.

So anyways, hours later here, back to the gossip.  Last time Kyle showed up, there was much gossip about who I was leaving with in the big red truck.  I'm sure this time there will be even more speculation about it because it'll be lunchtime and there will be lots of people coming and going.  Yes, yes, I AM that popular apparently.  No really, it's the fact that I don't flaunt my personal life around here.  Do I really want my coworkers knowing that I drink specifically to get drunk and I do it frequently, that I may or may not make-out with girls depending on how much I've had to drink or that I'm sleeping with a 20 year old?  I'm gonna go with not really.  Though some of them already know all this.....let's keep the rest in the dark :)

I wanted to leave you today with some random pictures, but Blogger is being gay and won't let me upload them.  I'll try later :)

I Don't Care What You Think....

as long as it's about me :)

So, disaster averted, after two more costume shops and then back to my sister's costume shop, I found it.  No, it's not the perfect costume, but I was seriously starting to have a panic attack about this dumb shit.  Like I was standing in the middle of the waaaaay too crowded shop feeling hives starting to pop up on my neck.  That's never a good sign.  Actually, that's usually my signal to Exit Stage Left <-----------------.

Anyways, remember how I tried on the referee costume a couple of weekends ago?  I liked it, but it was a halter and my boobs really weren't big enough to fill it out properly.  Being a sorta tall girl at 5'9", going down to a size small meant the costume didn't even cover half of my ass.  As much as Dave and Kyle wouldn't have a problem with that, I did.  I mean, I wanna look hot and all, but if I'm showing my ass, I better damn well be getting for it, ya know?

There was another ref costume there that I didn't try on last time.  Maybe if I would have, I woulda saved myself a ton of time.  I liked another one that was a reversible devil/angel that totally woulda been sweet and I looked good in, but it was a little more than outta my price range.  Maybe next year :)

Anyways, I wanted a full length picture, but after several tries, it was apparent that my 13 year old isn't quite capable of grasping what "full length" means.  T is coming over tonight so that we can both get the full picture of what both of our costumes are going to look like.  I still have to find shoes to go with my outfit.  Some Converse all stars would be sweet and comfy, but this is gonna need something with a heel :)

Just for you, my boob oogling fans :)  And no, this isn't the picture my kid took!

HAPPY HUMP DAY PEEPS :)

I've Got Troubled Thoughts & Self Esteem to Match

Ok, call me batshit crazy.  Go ahead, I'll wait......  Remember this post where I talked about my body issues and asked you about yours?  Ok, maybe you newbies haven't made it back that far in my archive.  I'll forgive you this time.....

This Halloween costume shit is really pissing me off.  I've been 3 places already this week looking for the "perfect" costume.  I can't find it.  Time's running out.  I said that I would just let K pick something out on Friday but I can't wait that long.  There won't be anything left the day before Halloween.  I went to two places today at lunch and only saw one costume that I even remotely liked.  It was $50 and you had to buy all these extra accessories to complete the outfit.  That's not gonna work......

So back to the first paragraph.  Why can't I find something?  Because I look like shit in everything I've tried on.  I don't know what I'm complaining about, due to the fact I don't have any money I've probably lost another 10 pounds in the last month.  I should be happy, I should look in the mirror and say hell yeah!  I'm not.  I'm thinking about all the days I could have been at the gym instead of being sick and broken over the last couple of months.

The weather isn't helping either.  Anyone who's ever been to Ohio knows that this is the land of depression.  Seriously, everyone's medicated here.....  Very rarely are days sunny this time of year.  It's depressing to get out of bed everyday to clouds and alot of the time, rain.  It makes me wanna curl up under my blankets and not come out until May.  My cure for this would be the blessed tanning bed.

You can spare me your thoughts about tanning.  I may get all shriveled up and look like leatherface when I'm 50, but I've got severe skin allergies and it's the only thing clears them up completely. With my tanning place going out of business and taking my money with them, I haven't had the money to get another package somewhere else.  Now, not only do I look at myself in the mirror and think I look fat, but I look like death as well.  There's nothing like a good tan to hide all those minor skin imperfections, including the increasingly dark circles under my eyes due to the fact little E never sleeps.  Right now I could just put on some old ragged clothes and go to the party as a bitch zombie.  That's exactly how I feel, lol.

Anywho..... that's where I am right now.  Depressed, broke and zombie like.  Nice combination there.  T & I are heading back to the costume store tonight.  I'm leaving E at home so maybe I can actually try some more costumes on and get this shit figured out before I go as something queer like an Ohio State fan....

What We've Got Here Is....Failure to Communicate......

Ok, so this has been bothering me for quite some time now.  I LOVE it when I get a comment.  The thing is, I wanna respond to your comments, should they need a response.  Whether it's to welcome you to the blog, come back with a smartass remark or answer a question.

I get an email notification to my phone each time I get a comment and I get excited :)  I want to respond to you from there.  I feel like if I return your comment on the post, that you'll probably not read it. I mean, there are probably only so many people like me who actually go back to a post after I've read them and look at the comments.. Maybe you do, maybe you don't....  Anyways, on another blog that I read, Classy & Fabulous, Sarah pointed a bunch of us out specifically that she couldn't respond to.  I assumed since I had a Blogger account and I have several different email addresses in there that she could reply to me.  Seems I didn't know there was another spot that you had to fill in information.

When she hit reply she got the email address of noreply@blogger.com.  That's gay, but it's what happens when I try to respond to the majority of you directly.  I know, I know, you don't wanna use your personal email address, blah blah, well if you have a blog and a a generic email for your blog, that you use to return comments on your site, use that.  For the rest of you, did you know that you can have a blogger profile and not have a blog?  Then from there, I don't know, maybe setup a gmail account that feeds into your main email?  With my iPhone I can setup a bunch of email accounts, so I never even have to login to my gmail to actually get the mail.  Maybe you don't follow many blogs and don't wanna do this.  That's most certainly up to you.  Below are instructions on how to make sure the option for receiving emails through your blogger account is activated.

1. Click on the Dashboard link in the upper right hand corner of your screen.

2. Click on Edit Profile, which is on the left hand side of the screen next to your picture.

3. This will take you to the Edit User Profile screen.

4. Look in the Privacy section.

5. Check the box that says, "Show my email address".

6. In the Identity section, enter in an email address.

7. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on Save Profile.

Like I said, no matter what email address you use to login to Blogger, that won't change even if you want to use another email address in this section :)

I'm Not Aware Of Too Many Things

I know what I know if ya know what I mean?

I know lots of things today, none of which are worth writing an entire blog post on, so they're all gonna go right here......

  • Everyone that hasn't already needs to check out Linda Lou's book, Bastard Husband, A Love Story. You can purchase it here: http://bastardhusband.com/ . I really enjoyed it Linda!!
  • I hope nobody comes into my cubicle this afternoon. I'm reeking like some onions from that sub I had to get for lunch...
  • I know I'm a retard because I eat Subway like twice a week and ALWAYS forget my Sub Club card. Those people should be owing me like 5 free subs by now. Oh well...
  • I know that a bunch of you like motorcycles, hot chicks and supporting our troops, so as soon as I get the info, I'll post information on how to purchase the calendar that my sister is putting out between her bar and our large Harley dealership if anyone's interested. It's gonna be freaking sweet and my sis, Melinda, is Miss December :) Melissa is having a launch party at her bar on the 18th, so once they come out I'll let everyone know how to get one. ALL proceeds are going to the Mid-Ohio Marine Foundation. Good shit right there :)
  • It's finalized, Melinda is moving away again. Her man is coming home from the Marines in December and she's off to North Carolina to start scouting places for them to live. I knew her stay in Ohio wouldn't be very long. She's a nomad.
  • Kyle will be home Thursday morning. I'm seriously surprised with myself. I miss him. I don't get this way over boys. I'm more of a love 'em & leave 'em type of girl. Scratch that. I don't even love 'em most of the time, lol. Like I've said before, I know this "relationship" (it's not even really that) isn't going anywhere, but I enjoy his company. I think I enjoy his company so much because he's at an age that I really missed out on being since I was a mom so young. Oh well, all is good, but this last week has gone really slowly.
  • I actually won my football pool this week. 23 outta 30 correct. Not too bad! I'm glad I won, I really need the money for my Halloween costume. Gavin came in 2nd place. He's an awesome 12 year old.
  • Speaking of Halloween costumes, Tara and I went out and looked again yesterday. I still didn't find anything that screamed "YOU'LL LOOK HOT IN MEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!". I'm just gonna let Kyle pick out something on Friday night and be ok with that. I'm not sure letting a boy who hasn't even been around a chick in a month pick out the costume is a good idea, but I'm seriously over searching for the perfect outfit that I'll probably never wear again.
  • If someone doesn't put away all the fucking Halloween candy around here, I'm gonna flip out. I really don't need to be packing on the pounds before I have to get into a cute costume. It's all over the place though and anyone who knows me knows I have very little self control.......
  • I got my house refinanced. It's about fucking time something worked in my favor. Now it's back down lower than it was when I bought the place and still affordable for me. Stupid school levies had my escrow all screwed up. I was kinda worried for a minute that I'd lose my house, but everything worked out in the long run. Now if I can do something about my credit card debt, we'll be in a super good place :)
  • E got his first "professional" pictures done on Saturday. He was such a good sport after waiting two hours (yeah, that was WITH an appointment). I can't wait to get them back.
  • Speaking of Ev, my mom bought him the cutest turkey costume for Halloween. I can't wait to stuff his fat little body into it!!
  • Ohh, that reminds me, I do have something to talk about in another post. I'll let that be the end of this one, though I'm sure I forgot some things......
HAPPY MONDAY!!

Sex On Fire....

Is it just me, or does that song title make you think of an undesirable issue or two down below the belt? It's a super good song though.... Maybe I shoulda called this We Didn't Start the Fire...

Anywho, I used to make fun of Pennsylvania and Kentucky for their "Fire Safe" Cigarettes. Fucking idiots burning themselves and their homes up falling asleep while smoking. Really? Damn hillbillies!! I found it incredibly annoying two weeks ago while I was in PA (nevermind the fact it cost me like $6.50 for a pack, poor planning on my part...) that every time I set down my smoke or even tilted it funny, that it went out. How annoying is that shit? Super annoying if you don't have your own lighter.

Anyways, Tuesday I bought a pack (I know Linda, I know....) and was excited because there was a coupon in it! I noticed right off the bat though something was wrong with them. They tasted stale and weren't burning right. Kinda developing runs in them like...... well you know, back in the good old days :) I refrained from licking my finger to stop the runs as I would have if it were something more recreational and fun. Sure as shit, I set it in the ashtray and it went out. WTF?

Dve was down hanging out last night and says to me "Did ya notice they went and fucked up our smokes?" and proceeded to show me the imprint by the bar code labeled FSC, as in fire safe cigarette. How tricky you are Marlboro man. You give me coupons to make me happy I'm spending less than $5 a pack and do a quick switch for a retard cigarette. No warning, no nothing. The simple thing to say is that I'm going to quit because my reds now taste like shit and annoy me, but what am I going to do? Yeah, I'm going to go in tonight and see if Camel has made the switch, if not, I'm a Camel girl now, not to be convinced with the all too ugly Camel Toe...... I'm just not ready to quit yet, no matter what Linda Lou tells me about premature aging.....

I Am Flattered....By Your Fascination With Me....

Man, I can find song lyrics for ANYTHING I could possibly want to say!! YAY.

So anyways, from time to time, I look at my statcounter reports to see if anyone besides my 4 followers are reading anything that I write. Don't get me wrong, I'm not writing for the masses, by some of the shit that I write, that's a little more than obvious. I was interested to see that on October 5th, I had 50 unique visitors. Apparently you people like to see drunks rubbing their asses on police cars. Good shit.

Oh and Monday was my 2nd biggest day, so y'all wanted to see me in my costume apparently. Other high visit days? Ones that featured boobs. Fucking great. My conclusion would be that most of my readers are male, but I can't be so sure of that, because when I hear the word boobs, I totally want a look too!

So, a big HELLO to the people I don't know that are visiting me most frequently:

Phoenix, AZ - You were visiting everyday until the 12th. Did I manage to piss you off?
Glendale, AZ - Is this you at work Phoenix? Because where you dropped off Glendale picked up.
Minneapolis, MN - Do you love your iPhone as much as I love mine???
Las Vegas & Henderson, NV - I know it's not you Linda or Mikey I already know your ip (ohh, that sounds kinda stalker like, lol)
10 different towns in Illinois & Indiana - Hello mostly small towns, what's going on over there?
Pittsburgh, PA - What up Steeler nation??!!

Houston, Cresson, Plano, TX
Boston, MA
Chilhowie, VA
Sparta, WI
Boston, MA
Modesto & Torrence, CA
Weedsport, NY

You guys have all made multiple visits. Welcome! What would it take to get a comment out of you or for you to claim your city? If you're a fellow T2V member, send me a PM on there, username, tara, if you don't wanna come out of the closet here :)

Also, I'm always open to topics that we can discuss around here. I like a good debate once in awhile. Two things that are off limits on my blog and in my house are religion and politics though. I don't get into that shit....

HAPPY HUMP DAY MY PEEPS!!!

Feel Good, Inc.

Fun is....... having to explain to your 12 year old what E.D. is because there are too many Cialis & Viagra commercials on tv. Even more fun? Him laughing and saying that to make his stand up all he has to do is look at a picture of his girlfriend.... I have a 12 year old trapped in a 20 year old body and it's been this way since he was like 3......

Fix Me In 45...

Whew! I'm all over the map today. I do wanna thank mother nature for that special gift a week early as not to interfere with Kyle coming home next week. I do appreciate that.

So we're over half way through October now and I've given you a song title or words to a song in every post except WTH Wednesday. Because I don't really have anything of note to say today, here are some more. Can you guess what they are? I'll post the answers tomorrow. Please note, these aren't meant to be thought provoking, just something to get stuck in your head all day if you figure out what it is :)

(1)
The she looks up at the building
And says she’s thinking of jumping
She says she’s tired of life
She must be tired of something

(2)
Stand in the line just ahead of the law
You’re faking a smile with the coffee to go
You tell me your life’s been way off line
You’re falling to pieces every time

(3)
And I want these words to make things right
But it’s the wrongs that make the words come to life
Who does he think he is?
If that’s the worst you got
Better put your fingers back to the keys

(4)
You’re digging for gold
Yet throwing away
A fortune in feelings
But someday you’ll pay

(5)
It seems like we living the American dream
But the people highest up got the lowest self esteem
The prettiest people do the uglies things
For the road to riches and diamond rings
We shine because they hate us, floss cause they degrade us
We trying to buy back our 40 acres
And for that paper, look how low we stoop

(6)
You say you’re gonna burn before you mellow
I will be the one to burn you
Why’d you have to do and pick me,
When you knew that we were different, completely?

(7)
I’m standing in the middle of the desert,
Waiting for my ship to come in
But now no joker, no jack, no king
Can take this loser hand
And make it win

(8)
Like anyone would be,
I am flattered by your fascination with me.
Like any hot blooded woman.
I have simply wanted an object to crave…

(9)
Have you ever loved someone so much, you'd give an arm for?
Not the expression, no, literally give an arm for?
When they know they're your heart
And you know you were their amour
And you will destroy anyone who would try to harm 'her
But what happens when karma, turns right around and bites you?
And everything you stand for turns on you to spite you?

(10)
I don’t care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice
When I’m not around
You’re so fuckin’ special
I wish I was special

(11)
Nothing’s so loud
As hearing when we lie
The truth is not kindA
nd you’ve said neither am I
But the air outside so soft
Is saying everything….

(12)
I don't want you
Dnd I don't need you
Don't bother to resist or I'll beat you
It's not your fault that you're always wrong
The weak ones are there to justify the strong

(13)
When my mind plays these tricks on me
It shows me things I don't want to see
That's why I tell myselfI keep telling myself
Just take another piece of me

(14)
There must be something
In the way I feel
That she don't want me to feel
The stare she bares cut me
I don't care
You see so what if I bleed

(15)
My sister got lucky, married a yuppie
Took him for all he was worth
Now she’s a swinger, dating a singer
I can’t decide which is worse…

There you have it, go for it if you're bored. I'll give you this, there is NO country music here. I don't dig it....

IIIIIIIIII'm Coming Apart At The Seams.....

So what a fucking weird evening I had.... I went to pick up little Ev at daycare, being kind enough to hold open the door for the person behind me without really looking at him. He thanked me then said, Tara? I whipped around quicker than you could say "hi" because this is the second time in a week that I've had this happen.

Flash back to last week, when I was walking out of the gas station and a nice boy held open the door for me. Not having any caffeine that early in the morning, i kept my head down and thanked him. He said, Tara?

My hair has changed a hundred times in the last 10 years. Facially, body type, not too much. Even with three babies, I manage to get back to my regular self.

Last week it was Chuck, a boy that I worked with eons ago at my current job. He was cute back then and totally had a crush on me. I was engaged at the time, so our timing didn't really work out and when he left, none of us ever heard from him again. He commented that he thought he had seen me at the gym a couple of months ago, but then when he looked again I was gone. I confirmed that I did go to that gym and the last time I had been there was a couple of months ago (due to the cracked ribs and being sick of course, not because I'm lazy....). We made about another minute of small talk and I said that I'd probably see him around the gym and was on my way.

Today it was Daniel..... Back in the day Daniel was the annoying little brother of Nick's best friend Travis. For those of you not wanting to look over at the side panel or previous posts, Nick, if you'll remember is Brandon's dad. He owes me $50k in back child support and even on a good day I'd like to kill him with my bare hands...

Years ago, I practically lived with these people. Nick always lived with them because his mother disowned him when he was in like 8th grade. The house was a party place for all the kids without parents who cared. We can skip talking about the fun stuff for now. Yeah, before I got pregnant and things went south, there were a lot of fun times. Daniel was always the annoying younger brother, probably 4 or 5 years younger than us. Their mom worked all the time, so I'll just leave it up to your imagination all the things that went on in that place.

Travis, Daniel and the rest of their family moved to Vegas after a windfall of money. When Nick got in his accident, they were already gone. When they left, I had pretty much already left that life behind. When I turned around today and realized that it was him, I felt my jaw drop. He was all grown up! I had heard that they were back in town, but hadn't seen any of the family. This was perfectly ok with me. I try my hardest to avoid people from my previous life.

I think he was as surprised to see me as I was him. We stood in the entry way and he told me all about what had been going on with him and that he's finally getting his life together. Good for him. He didn't quite understand why I was at the daycare and I told him that I had a little one. It didn't click in his head apparently. He was on his way back to pickup his ex's son and when he saw me pick up Ev, said WOW, I thought you meant Gavin. Uhh dude, Gavin is 12, it's been a super long time since I've seen you. We chatted for a minute longer and I was itching to get outta there.

As soon as I left, I called Tara and told her about it. She was as freaked out as I was, seeing as she's pretty much been through it all with me. I can assure you that as soon as he left the place, he called his brother. Now I gotta worry about Nick showing up somewhere I may be. Not that he'll cause problems, because he knows I can put him in jail if I even see him, but that doesn't mean he won't hide out and watch me, like he's done for years....

So here it is again, my former life creeping back up on me, making me wonder if I've made the right decisions.....

You Want It All.....

but you can't have it... It's in your face but you grab it.....

It's magic, it's tragic, it's a loss, it's a win.....

I'm fairly discombobulated (is that even a word? and if it is, I'm sure it's not spelled right) today. My weekend was pretty much a total bust. Hey, what can I say, they can't all be epic, right?

So it started out last week when I had to call my stepmonster and ask her for money. Yeah, it's that bad right now. After I listened to her talk shit about Satan Claus for almost an hour, she agreed to deposit some money into my account to keep it from going negative. Ok, disaster averted and I'll have some cash to get me through till this Friday when I get paid. WRONG!! Did she actually do it? Hell no she didn't and now she won't even answer my calls. If Satan Claus wasn't in a constant state of confusion, I would call him up and tell him how she fucked me, because he told her to give me the money. She told me that! He, who I haven't spoken to in like 4 years said send Tara some money..... Whatever, so I entered the weekend with a negative balance in my bank account. Well, that kinda shot down my plans, then my mother intervened to even further ruin the weekend, but we'll get to that...

Let's see, Friday night all the hood peeps came over and we pretty much layed around my living room listening to music and pissing around. We talked costumes for the Halloween party and all sorts of BS like that. It was actually pretty fun. I didn't get to bed until sometime after 3. Ev woke up far too early for me, luckily Gavin got up with him and let me sleep for a lil bit. I had to roll myself outta bed at 11 because Gavin was leaving to go to a football party with my parents. I managed to deal with them for the short time they were at the house. After that I had to go and get our soccer team signed up for indoor soccer. 9 games at a cost of $980. Such a fucking racket they got going on up there. It's the only place close, so people pay it. I need to invest in a big ass warehouse with some artificial turf and make that kind of money!! After that, Dave came over because the Ohio State game was on the Big 10 network and he doesn't have cable. I didn't really care to watch it, but I had plans anyway, so it didn't matter.

Tara picked me & Ev up at like 2. The plan of the day? To pickup her ex's other baby mama and locate him. She (the other chick) has a kid with him and the kid has seizures and shit and he refused to return her calls for a medical history. How fucking ridiculous is this? This chick has never asked him for any money, anything, and he wouldn't respond to her. Well, long story short, eventually we located him, and I'm pretty sure that he shit his pants when he opened the door to see his kids moms standing at the door to his trailer in BFE. He actually closed the door on them. I was standing by the car playing with my phone in case I needed to take video. Like 2 minutes later he came out and they stood there for a good 45 minutes all talking. He gave up the information, which wasn't a whole lot of help, and gave them his phone number so that they didn't come showing up at his door again. Lol, priceless shit right there.....

So by the time we were finished, we had to haul some ass to get back into Columbus. We had plans with a couple of our friends to go up to the costume shop and look at costumes for the party. Melinda is working there so we went in and pissed around for awhile. The original plan had been to go out to dinner, have a drink or two, then go and try on costumes. Due to everyone's lack of funds, we went and looked at costumes first then ended up at Tim Horton's. Not exactly what I had in mind, but whatever.

They didn't have the black naughty nurse costume that I wanted. I did try on the cute referee costume, which I liked, but now looking at the picture, it looks like I could stand to lose a few pounds to wear it. Also, they had the cute boots that I posted I think in my last post (?) and I actually got to try them on. I loved them as much in person as I did online.... Too bad they're like $40 and I can't be spending that on a pair of boots that I can't wear everyday right now. Anywho, to get on to what Mikey wants to see, here's me in the ref costume. I cut off my head because I looked like shit because there was no time for showering and primping before we left. Also, the next picture is the boots up close, then my friend Kate in her racing outfit. She's so cute!
So anyways, I'm not all that thrilled with the costume. I don't know, I saw a cuter one:
Of course I'm not gonna look as good as this chick, but it's cute. Tara, Coutney and some of the other girls just weren't into it, so I felt kinda rushed. I'm going to go back on Friday or Saturday when I have a chance to do what I want. Anyways, what I thought was gonna be fun was just kind of a downer. Ev & I were dropped back at my house around 7. I couldn't go out because in my mom's infinite evilness, she talked Gavin into staying over so I wouldn't have a sitter. Oh well. Ev & I chilled and by 8:30 he was out. Shortly after that I was too. Up and down all night. At one point I looked at my phone and had 5 texts from people wondering why, on a Saturday night, was my house dark and my car in the driveway. I didn't even bother to text any of them back. I just rolled over and waited for Ev to wake up again. And he did....every 3 hours on the dot.
Sunday we had to drive to Dayton for soccer for the last time this season. I can't say I'm sad the outdoor season is over, it's been quite punishing. Now we start indoor and have an outdoor tournament the first weekend in November.... Yeah, I know there'll be 8 inches of snow for that one....

So, now it's Monday. I don't know I guess I'm in a fuck it kind of mood right now. I'm not quite sure how I'm gonna put gas in my car this week to even get to work, but I'll figure something out. I want it all, but I can't have it........

You're Just Jealous of Me....

***WARNING, I STARTED THIS TWO DAYS AGO PROMISING 4 POSTS IN ONE DAY AND FAILED. I'M GOING TO ATTEMPT TO PICKUP WHERE I LEFT OFF AND IT MAY OR MAY NOT MAKE SENSE***

Cause you, you just can't do what I do, so instead of just admitting it you walk around and say all these really mean things about me, cause your a meany, a meany.

Anyone? Bueller, Bueller?? Have you noticed, with the exception of What the Hell Wednesdays, all of my post titles have been names of songs or lyrics in the month of October? I'll give ya a special prize at the end of the month if you can list them all title and artist. Really, I promise. It'll be fun.

Soooo, I'm in a posting kind of mood today. Y'all saw how my weekend was, it's Tuesday and I'm still sick. It's been weeeeeeeeks now. I'd go to the doctor, but I'm afraid that walking into the office I'd pickup something worse than I've already got. You know some H1N1 or some shit like that.

Let's get on with my random tidbits for the day, shall we?
  • Noah posted on his MySpace status that he's moving to Iowa the first of November. I'm wondering if there's a special whore out there or what? I mean, nobody purposely moves to Iowa..... Sorry if I've offended anyone, but really, Iowa? Hopefully he'll not be at his mom's house when I pick up Ev tonight and I can get the scoop from her.
  • I went to the gyno for my yearly appointment yesterday. As a chick, nobody enjoys this, even if you've seen no action in a long time, but it was rather pleasant. My doctor had a woman in labor, so I was in and out of there with a quickness. Like seriously, from walking in the door to walking back out I was there for 30 minutes. That's fucking awesome. The medical assistant doing my history was workin quick, running down it like, smoke, drink, sex, seat belt, blah blah blah, to which i answered alot, socially (what a lie), I'd like to be having lots of it, but it's not happening for me right now, and yes, blah blah blah. She stopped and laughed. I mean how are you supposed to answer a question like Do You Have Sex? Well, duh, I have 3 kids, so it's obvious that I've gotten laid at least 3 times unless you really do believe in immaculate conception..... I'd like to be having a lot more of it, but duh, the boy is gone for two more weeks. She found it all pretty amusing, except for the smoking thing....
  • I'm making my return to the gym tonight. It's been well over two months. With the cracked ribs, then constantly being sick I just haven't been able to do it. I'm still sick, but I'm hoping I can sweat some of it out of me tonight. I'll either feel better tomorrow or be dead. We'll see.
  • I'm dreadfully itchy right now. The change of the season brings on some wicked skin allergies for me. I basically look like I have ringworm all over my arms and legs right now. Yeah, I know, sexy. Try taking nudie pics avoiding photographing my spots. It doesn't really work. The problem is, the doctor has never been able to really get it under control. First they thought it was actually ringworm, then it was a fungus, in which I paid $80 for a little tube of cream that was gone after two applications. Then (this is the best one), they decided they wanted to biopsy a spot. They took what amounted to a hole puncher to my skin and sent it off to a dermatologist. Then I waited 3 months to see the dermatologist. When I got there, I owed them $300 walking in the door from the biopsy that they didn't even do, only to have him tell me the biopsy looked like a wart, but now that he was looking at it, it wasn't warts at all. I went back to the regular doctor and they put me on all sorts of allergy meds, these helped for a little while and only when I was really disciplined about slathering myself in their steroid creams and taking the pills everyday. This doesn't mesh with my schedule.
  • Tanning helps the skin cooties, so I decided to go the other day on my way home from work only to find out my tanning place closed... WTF? I just spent like $50 on credits I barely used in July. Now I'm pissed because I don't have the money to really go anywhere else. When things get a little better, I'll probably start going to the tanning booths at the gym since I already have babysitting there, but for the time being, how am I going to look good in my slutty nurse or policewoman costume if I'm pasty white with spots??????
  • Tara and I are throwing a Halloween bash down at her house. Parties are better at my house when it's nice because I have a huge deck (heh) but she's got a garage as big as our houses for these sorts of things.
**************************************************************************************
ANYWHO, back to the post it's now Thursday...

  • Noah is not going to Iowa for a whore. He finally got a trucking job. He actually talked to me when I picked Ev up Tuesday night. It was weird and awkward. He carried the car seat out to the car for me and we talked for a few. It was little more than cordial conversation like; How are the big kids, How's work, you know, dumb shit. So whatever, I don't exactly know what to think about the whole situation right now. He leaves on Halloween, so I still have two weeks to decide how I feel.
  • I did go to the gym Tuesday night. I worked hard and it felt good. Wednesday when I woke up I felt a hundred times better. I even lifted a little bit and my ribs didn't bother me at all. Awesome, I need the gym. I have too much aggression to get out on a daily basis.
  • Still itchy and still not going into the doctor's office. Tomorrow I may try my luck seeing if they can call in a prescription for my lotion. We'll see
  • Plans for the Halloween bash are coming along well. I can't wait!! We made costumes mandatory and there's a good chance there could be like 60 people there, so it should be a ton of fun. All the hood rats are getting together on Saturday night to go to the costume shop and decide what we're all gonna be. It should be interesting to say the least..... I've already got the shoes I wanna wear picked out, all that's left is the costume....

They're strippertastic (that's the word of the week people!) and I gotta have them, plus they'll make me over 6 feet tall, which I will find totally amusing, but Kyle, not so much. He's got a height complex, lol.
  • Brandon leaves for his Washington DC trip tomorrow morning. I'm having some mixed feelings about it. He's sooooo irresponsible, I don't know that he'll be able to survive without me for 3 days. On the other hand, you COULD NOT pay me enough money to be a chaperon on this trip. My God, 95 8th graders on an airplane? I feel super bad for anyone flying out of Columbus to DC at 9:30 tomorrow morning.....
  • Oh, speaking of Brandon, yesterday I got an email from his Social Studies teacher telling me that he caught Brandon trying to cheat on a pop quiz. WTF? How, you ask? The kid had his book open on the floor and was turning pages with his foot. Fucking genius right there. That's his dad's part of the gene pool hard at work..... Anyways, no video games or tv until at least this 9 weeks of school is done and I can see how shitty his grades are. He's going back on his meds. Gavin has been doing really well, besides being a total dickhead most of the time, but Brandon pretty much has no control over himself. That was something that the Adderall always helped with him. When he gets back from the trip, he goes back on the meds. They take like 30 days to be constant in your bloodstream and even them out, which means for the next 30 days I'll have a psycho on my hands, but after that, he'll be good to go. And don't comment about how everyone is so convinced all the kids need doped up and blah blah fucking blah. I've already been through all of that and you know what? It's what works best for my family, keep your opinions to yourself.
  • And one last thing, Mejis, I think Scott Weiland has been to rehab at least 3 times.... I did see the other day that he's signed on to do a VH1 behind the music. I bet that will be fascinating!
  • Oh yeah and one other thing, I recently finished reading the Slash (you know, from Guns n Roses) autobiography. Fascinating as well. The lives of rock stars, I tell ya.... Looking forward to grabbing the Heroin Diaries next.
And now back to your regularly scheduled programming.......

Been There, Done That.....

Well, I'm all out of order today. I gave you the STP review, because it was quite possibly the most interesting thing I had to say about the weekend. We'll do it up quick for the rest of the weekend cause you're going to get four posts out of me today. Like I said earlier, I've got a lot to say.

1:00 Friday-I run like I'm on fire out of work, do banking, pickup Ev, clean out my car, yell at the big kids to pick up the pace and hurry their asses up (they walk home from school), and throw all of their shit in the car. We go back into the house 3 times for forgotten shit.

3:00 and we're off. I had to make what I thought was going to be a quick pit stop at Babies R Us to exchange a mega pack of diapers because E's ass has gotten too big for them. This was not to be. You have to have a receipt for an even exchange. I tell the guy how ABSOLUTELY FUCKING GAY that is, go over to the register, purchase the rest of my shit and carry all my crap back out to the car.

3:50 we hit the freeway.

5:20 rush hour in Akron....Dead stopped for 20 minutes. My mother left 30 minutes behind me and didn't hit this.

7:15 pull into my grandma's house having not killed any children on the way there. Nobody's home. They're all at the rehearsal dinner for the wedding. I immediately take 4 Benedryl because my grandma has a cat and I'm allergic to all things with hair of any kind....

8:30 Mom, Stepdad, Nana & Papa walk in the door. Turns out mom went over and crashed the rehearsal for a free dinner. Nice. I have a bologna sandwich. But it's the good bologna, you know that comes in the log that you have to cut yourself? Normally you have it with some crackers and cheese, I had it stacked 2 inches thick on a bun. That reminds me that it is almost deer gun season. I will have deer bologna soon....YUMMY.....

10:30 My friend from the good old days, Beth sees on my FB that I'm in PA and messages me to see if I wanna go out. I really do, but I'm so freaking tired, I decline. I go to bed (on the couch) because I'm twitching. My body knows it's Friday night and I haven't had a drop of alcohol in about a week... I don't normally drink when I'm over there because it's all back woods that are scary enough at night when you're sober, let alone drunk....

12:15, 1:30, 2:20, 3:15, 4:50, 6:20, 7:30- I shit you not, Ev woke up. He doesn't like to be away from his bed. It's not like he sleeps all night when we're at home, but it's never this bad. At 7:30 my Papa came in and took him from me. At 10:30 I hear him crying again so I get up. My mother has taken the liberty of giving him a bath with Dove soap, because "it's the gentlest".

10:45 E has a rash all over his body from "the gentlest" soap. Fucking great. You can't exactly give him anything.

11:30 I venture to Wally World to get a wedding card. Yeah, I'm a last minute kind of girl. As I'm on my way back my mother calls and bitches me out because Gavin's tennis shoes do not match his outfit. WTF? His shirt is black, grey and white stripes with black pants. His shoes, which are brand new, are black and white. She tells me that she's taking him for some proper shoes. Whatever. They come back with some gay dress shoes that Gavin is none too pleased with.

In this time, my aunt & uncle and their two kids get there. That makes 7 adults and 5 kids getting ready in one bathroom. Fucking great.

Oh yeah and I forgot to mention, I woke up Saturday morning with one eye swollen shut. If I would have slept at all I would have sworn that the cat sat on my face. I looked like someone hit me, fucking great considering pictures were going to be taken all day...

By 2:30 everyone was scrambling to get out the door and to the church.

3:00 wedding started, 3:20 wedding ended. I hate weddings. I used to be the single girl who was like, "Oh how cute, they must really love each other", now I'm the single girl that says "Damn dude, you're straight up fucking up your life by getting married." This was no exception. My cousin married a total bitch. Oh well, to each his own.

4ish - reception at the local Moose lodge. The first $350 in alcohol was free. That's a lot at the Moose. Peeps were getting shitfaced. Not me. We ate ham and potatoes, nothing fancy. We left at 7:30 because G was getting itchy to get outta there. We needed to come home so that he could play soccer on Sunday.

10:45 I pull into my driveway. Ev & Gavin slept the entire way home. Thanks for keeping me company boys. I was singing at the top of my lungs to keep from falling asleep. I lost my house key in my car and wedge my finger in the window while trying to get it up for Gavin to crawl in it. It's still swollen today.

We all pass out, happy to be home.

E is up and down all night again, though not as bad as Friday night. G gets up with him in the morning because I can't even function. God he's a good big brother. I pull myself out of bed at 11:00. By 12:15 we are back on the road. This time to Dayton for soccer. We tie, G has probably his best game yet this season and we arrive back home at 4:30. B stayed in PA an extra day with my parents and gets home around 6. I'm exhausted.....

If you read the STP post, you know the rest.....

I am....DEAD & BLOATED!!!!

Ehh, maybe not dead, most certainly bloated, lol. I know, it's been days since I've posted anything. I have a shit ton of stuff to say, but the fucking idiots that I work with continue to break their computers forcing me to do some work around this hell hole.

Let's use this post to talk about the fun part of my weekend. The gates of the LC (Lifestyles Community Pavilion) opened at 6:30 on Sunday night for the Stone Temple Pilots concert. What was I doing at 6:30 on Sunday night? Cleaning up baby puke. Ev is still fucking sick. I would like to say that it breaks my heart to hear the little guy coughing up a lung and snotting all over the place. It did, maybe for the first three weeks he was sick. Now I'm over it. I'm annoyed. I'm sick too. I can't get better because I can't take care of myself. He hasn't slept more than 2 hours at a time in weeks now. I have some funky weird swollen gland on one side that's making my ear hurt every time I swallow.

Oh wait, we're supposed to be talking about the fun part of my weekend......Riiiiiiight, back to the concert.

So me and Dave are sitting around chillin and I'm battling a do I stay or do I go complex. He's making fun of me as usual asking why I'm being so wishy washy about the whole thing. Perhaps he knows me too well. I'm a black and white kind of girl. It either is or it isn't. There is no grey. Sunday night I was grey. I wanted to go, but I was wrestling with spending the money on the ticket. At 7:30 I get a message from one of my friends. We can get into the LC for free, bring someone. I jumped up, put the baby to bed, made a liquid dinner and started getting ready.

Dave says he's too tired to go. He actually has a job now, so he's a little less fun. Tara wouldn't go because it was 42 degrees when the sun went down. I texted Melinda, who is about as financially strapped as I am right now due to Melissa firing her from the bar. She was already planning on babysitting for me if Tara or Dave were going with me. I told her nevermind on the babysitting, Ev was in bed already (which means Brandon can be responsible enough to plug a bottle into his mouth) and that she was going to the concert.

By 8:15 we were getting out of the car with our 3 layers of clothing on downtown. Damn, it was cold. We meet my friend, who's not really my friend, only merely a way to get into the concert and blow right by security on our way in. Wristbands? Check. Gotta have them to drink there. Here is the first thing we saw when looking for alcohol.

No, not the big booty close up, the hot pink spandex pants and stilletos. Fucking rock and roll! I already had a buzz at this point because my 32oz. road pop was just starting to kick in. Melinda, who was hungover was my DD for the night. For this I bought her a pizza and a water. I bought me a Smirnoff & Sugar Free RB because sadly, they didn't have Bicardi Limon. We head down to the pit because the lawn is packed with all sorts of questionable folks. Like this guy. I mean, besides the cow who provided the leather, some sort of small forest creature died to make his coat.

I'm no furry animal lover, but that's just weird. Anywho, we wiggled ourselves in front of a group of college boys and were all set to go. The opening act had finished and it was time to just wait......and wait.......and wait....... It was 9 freaking thirty five before STP came out. The crowd was getting restless, especially the frat boys behind us. I let it go and didn't junk punch anyone because most of them were cute.

What to say about STP? Well, should they come to your town, GO AND SEE THEM. Even if you just know the songs that they've played on the radio. They played EVERY SINGLE one of them, unlike the Black Crowes, who played nothing that made them famous.

Here's where I have to diverge from the music for a minute. We were close to the stage. So close in fact that you could tell that Scott Weiland wasn't Scott Weiland. Or so I thought. He has always been cracktastic in feather boas and leotards and shit. My sister and I were convinced it wasn't him on stage. I mean, just look at the pic:
Yeah, that's nice and up close & personal. Doesn't look like him, does it?
It was. Man, rehab does a body good..... I may bend my no older guys policy for a shot at him..... The band was phenomenal. Here are some more pics so you can kinda get the effect of the stage show:

Remember, we were outside in 42 degree weather. Retards were moshing, beer was getting spilled and I was a lil unhappy. It was time to push back.... And that we did. Thank God we didn't get pulled over on the way home because I reeked like a beer. Ewwww.

I would have to say, the highlight of the show was when one lucky guy got pulled up on stage and given the bullhorn. We all knew what was about to happen. He put the microphone in front of the bullhorn and yelled.... I AM SMELLIN LIKE A ROSE THAT SOMEBODY GAVE ME ON MY BIRTHDAY DEATHBED! I AMMMMMM SMELLIN LIKE A ROSE THAT SOMEBODY GAVE ME CAUSE I'M DEAD AND BLOATED!!! God I hope that guy's friends got video of that. Simply freaking awesome.
All in all, I'm totally glad that I went. I get so very little time to myself that I really need just a few hours sometimes. Of course not having to pay for the tickets was ultimately what made me decide to go. I think I spent like $15 the whole night, for a drink, water, pizza and parking and was home chillin on my laptop eating a cheeseburger by 11:45 drunk messaging on Facebook. Good times, good times. I'll leave you today with a pic of me and Melinda and our layers. Now that I look at this picture, I'm totally geekin out in it. But check it out, we're decked out in our Steelers and Penn State gear :)

Today Is The...

ok it's not the greatest day I've ever known. I think that's how Smashing Pumpkins put it...

Today sucks ass. Today I am the coworker that wants to kick your ass and has no qualms about telling you that.

I need a new job. One that requires no interaction with other people, because, damn it, they're all just stupid. Whoever told me that computers was a good field to get into can SUCK IT. Dealing with people who don't know anything about a computer and ARE NOT willing to follow simple instructions suck. This sign is posted on my cubicle... HELLO, where are my matches and some lighter fluid today????

Mayyybeeee, if these people would get a grip I could post what I really wanted to post this week.....

That is all. You may now return to bigger and better things...

Happy Hump Day...Randomness 10/7

I've decided I'm going to dedicate Wednesdays to all the junk floating around in my head. If you don't like it, oh well, I'm not here to please anyone....
  • In the forefront of my mind today..... I haven't had a cigarette in 12 hours now. Not because I decided I wanted to quit, but because putting gas in my car to get to work was deemed more important than smoking. Had it been choosing lunch or smoking, I would have chosen smoking. Sorry Linda Lou, I'm not quite there yet...
  • There's a good possibility I could kill a coworker or two today. Smoking allows me to have more patience with these idiots....
  • Poor Little Ev. I had to take him to urgent care on Monday night. No, he doesn't have swine flu like the rest of the country, though we'll probably get it from sitting in that waiting room with all those people and their fucking filthy kids. Ev's got bronchitis. Tough for a guy only 6 months old :( He was cleared to go back to daycare because he's not contageous, but I had to go pick him up yesterday in the middle of the day because he had a fever. Hello??? The kid has had a fever for 3 weeks now!! Anyways, we got home, got doped up and napped the rest of the day. Thank God for baby Motrin.
  • Speaking of fucking filthy kids. If your kid is sick & you have him at the doctor's office, they gave you a mask for a reason, use it. Also, if your kid is that sick, they really shouldn't be running around touching everything and coughing on people. Fucking nasty. When I got home Monday night I wanted to get into the shower and scrub myself with a wire brush and bleach. I settled for just a hot shower.....
  • A humidifier and vapor-rub rock. I love that smell.....
  • I'm really hoping Melissa will come through with Stone Temple Pilots tickets for this Sunday. I REALLY wanna go, but if I'm gonna make it to Vegas for New Years, I can't be spending money on dumb shit.
  • Lol, my mom just told me she went to a "wine tasting" event with my sister last night and got drunk. Wow, that must have taken alot of those cups......
  • I think I'm going to have to break down and turn on the furnace tonight. It's like 45 degrees right now and I'm freezing. The problem is, the damn kids get home from school like 3 hours before I get off work and do dumb shit like open up windows and doors, so I'll be contributing to global warming by letting all my heat out of the house while at the same time accumulating a $200 gas bill....
  • I have to go back to Pennsylvania this weekend. Yeah, this makes 3 months in a row that I've been over there. Add that together with Thanksgiving and Christmas and I'll have been there more this half of the year than the last two years combined.
  • It's a fucking hillbilly wedding this weekend. You know, the kind with the reception at the local fire station? Good shit. Too bad I can't drink with the rest of the hillbillys. I have to be back in Columbus Saturday night to prepare for driving to Dayton for soccer on Sunday afternoon.
  • Why is soccer always scheduled on a weekend when I have to drive over there??? Oh yeah, that's right, soccer is my life...... Last weekend Gavin didn't have a game and about went batshit crazy on me. Like I almost needed to break out some bed restraints because he was twitchy and kicking a ball all over my house.
  • Apparently Brandon missed his orthodontist appointment this morning. They just called. FUCK. How'd I miss that? It's not even on my calendar. My calendar is my life.... Oh well, we'll just go tomorrow morning, that gives me an excuse to go into work late.
  • I'm two payments behind on the orthodontist.... Hope they'll take a payment for Friday....
  • Oh yeah, just because I like pictures, here's one below that I took while we vacationed at Universal Studios a couple of years ago. Feel free to rip off if you think it's as funny as I did.

I think that's about it for now. I'm currently having a hair crisis, so I'll probably post something about that here a little later. I need some opinions on what I should do with that...

Happy Hump Day Peeps!

It's Just Another Manic Monday

Although I certainly don't wish it were Sunday. Yesterday I was the epitome of worthless... Felt like shit, I'm all beat up and I pretty much didn't move off the couch all day.

We'll skip talking about Friday night. We had a bonfire and were all worthless from the night before, so we pretty much called it a night at like 10:30. BORING, but I needed sleep. I'm still not over this cold shit I got a couple of weeks ago and everyone in the hood is getting swine flu. I wanted to keep my distance.

I won't lie, I layed in bed until like 11 on Saturday. I think I was starting to get bed sores from laying there so long. But I never get to sleep in on the weekends, so after getting up and down with Ev, at like 6:30, I went back to bed and he didn't make a peep until almost 11:30. That right there is some good shit. I talked to Kyle for awhile and then remembered Tara was supposed to be picking me up at noon so I decided I should motivate and shower and stuff. Then I called Tara and she said we weren't going to decorate until 4:30. Lol, whatever, I was up for the day.

Sure I was... I was all ready to go out and get a haircut, but then I remembered I didn't have a car, so I pretty much laid around on the couch all day watching football and sleeping some more. Tara came at 4:30, we went and decorated and by 5:15 I was back on the couch. My neighbor came down to checkout my cold air blowing furnace around 6 and of course it blew hot air when he was there. WTF, I hate when that happens. What I hate worse than that is that I'm going to have to turn the furnace on here soon. It's getting cold at night. Where the hell did fall go?
He and I stood around outside and bullshitted for awhile. Ev started to cry, so I went back in the house and found that he had scooted himself halfway across the room almost to the front door. I guess he just wanted to be outside like everyone else! By 8 I decided I should probably start getting ready to go, so Ev and I went in. Damn it was getting cold!

Tara had pledged to do the Leukemia and Lymphoma walk with her ex sister-in-law, who is in remission from Hodgekins Lymphoma on Saturday. She did not know until this week that it was a night walk. This foiled our plan to be at the birthday party when they actually said SURPRISE! Oh well. By the time we got there it was almost 10 and the people who had gotten there early were about done for the night. I had worked myself into a nice buzz getting ready, so I was ready to party at this point. We made our rounds and basically the whole hood was there. Good shit.

I honestly don't know where the wheels came off. Ok, maybe I do. I need to NOT EVER DO SHOTS. I think I had probably 5 different ones over the course of the night. If I just stick with my normal drinks, I can usually last all night. Not Saturday night. Here are some pics of the fun:

This is Lauren, I haven't seen her....well, since high school. She's one of my sister's friends. They were both at a wedding down the street. Mikey, here's your boob shot for the night. So nice you can see right down my shirt.....

Apparently I thought this shot sucked. This is approximately the time I started to forget what happened..... Maybe someone slipped in a roofie hoping to get lucky....

Here's me & Tara. I have no idea what the hell she was looking at......

This is me boob grabbin Tabby who is Nicole's friend, Nicole and Melinda. As you can see, I found a hat somewhere and Melinda's face is still fucked up from falling on it several weeks ago. I have no recollection of this picture being taken but there were several of them, each more lewd than the one before it....

I've been told that a fight broke out at the bar. None of us was involved, but apparently that incident was the determining factor in our leaving the bar. Apparently on our way out, I did this:

Yeah, I'm rubbing my ass on a police car and I sure look hot doing it! Whatever, I don't remember that either. I got separated from my group apparently because I had 20 missed calls from Tara on my phone around the time we left. I have no idea how I got home, but I know I didn't drive because I have no car....

When I got home, I vaguely remember that there was a party going on in my front yard and there were like 50 people there with a fire blazing and all. I laid down on the couch and that pretty much was the last of me. I woke up the next morning sandwiched in my bed between Dave and his friend Ben. Thank God all of us had our clothes on.....
I got up feeling like I had been beaten. I still feel like that today. Whatever happened, I've got bruises in the weirdest spots and my arm looks like this:

Seriously, I know it probably doesn't look that bad, but it hurts like hell! No clue what happened and nobody I was with seems to know either. There's one on the other arm too that looks like I tried to slit my wrist the proper way, you know, up and down....

I heard that I was the life of the party up at the bar. Really? I'm a great party hostess and all, but I'm never the life of the party. I also may have rode in Dave's truck bed standing up from Tara's house to mine. Not sure about all that, but it could explain why I have bruises all over. I also woke up missing my ID, bank card and camera. After much back and forth texing with Tara, who was just as bad off as me that night, her man finally recalled he'd seen me in Dave's truck. I called him and he eventually located them. Jeez. I hate being shitfaced like that. It'll probably take me until mid-week to recover from this whole thing....

Happy Monday Everyone!

It's The Freakin Weekend.....

baby I'm about to have me some fun.... Yeah, I'm not so much an R. Kelly fan, with his whole peeing on people and molesting teenage girls, but the song is appropriate for a Friday post and I'm all about appropriateness. Ha, yeah fucking right. I'm probably about one of the most inappropriate people you'll ever meet. It makes life interesting, what can I say?

So, what was supposed to be an innocent jewelry party at my house last night quickly turned into a late night drunk-fest. God it felt good. I haven't had a drink in like..... ok, well 2 days, but whatever, that's beside the point.... I sold a shitload of jewelry which is $$ for me. Good shit. Anyways, after the last of the bitches left, Tara and I walked down the street to Joel's house to chill on his swing. One drink turned into like 4 and before I know it, all the usual suspects are there. Once the old guys decide it's bedtime, the young ones head down to my house to sit around and drink some more. It's me, Tara, her man, Dave and his friend Ben.

At this point I gotta say something. We all know that Dave is in love with me. I've told you guys that he says that shit all the time to me and has no bones about saying it pretty much in front of anyone who's around. Funny thing is, Kyle is his best friend and while Kyle was home, I didn't see Dave more than 5 times the whole month. Now that Kyle has left again, Dave has blown up my phone every day this week. WTF? Kyle says that Dave "likes lickin on other people's ice cream cones", which is funny because Dave is a fat kid. But I just don't get it. I would NEVER even attempt to go after one of my friends conquests. That's just bad news all around. Plus Dave is soooo not my type that even if I wasn't doing whatever it is I'm doing with Kyle he still wouldn't have a chance. I don't know, it was all a lil retarded. Even later Dave, who was absolutely wasted, started telling me all these things about Kyle that Kyle would probably would be really embarrassed that I now know. It's a whole weird situation I guess.......

So anywho, we're up till after two this morning, Tara and I being the only ones who have to be at work at 8am... I was ok to get up, she was still drunk when her alarm went off. I suppose that's what happens 12 beers later. I'm sitting here at work today, being utterly worthless. Not because I'm hungover, I don't get hangovers unless I mix my booze and let's face it, I'm too poor to do that right now. I just don't feel like doing anything. I'm sure glad I have this job with no deadlines or important tasks most days. I did just spend 3 hours on the phone with one of our "technically challenged" salespeople though. I really wanted to stab a pencil through my eye so that perhaps I could just put myself out of my misery....

As for the weekend? Well, I have no car until Monday. Tell me, how the fuck in this day and age, can you not have a part for a fucking Chrysler in a metropolis as large as Columbus? Yeah, my shit has to be shipped in from Minneapolis. This blows my ass.... I guess I'll just ride my bike wherever I need to go. And yes, I'm well aware of the fact you can get a DUI on a bike.....

Tonight we're having a big bonfire at my house since it's cold as fuck here and the rain has finally moved out. I'm sure the ghetto stripper pole and/or the trampoline will be involved somehow. Tomorrow night is a friend's surprise 40th birthday party at the local watering hole, so it'll be outta control as usual.

Mikey, I'll try to get ya some boobie pics at the party since I haven't featured any nice racks in awhile. Other than that, that's all I've got right now folks. We'll just have to see how it all pans out, but in the meantime, I gotta get outta here and sneak a nap if I'm gonna be worth a shit tonight....

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!
