Because They're Funny & I'm Bored....

I mentioned in the other post that I went to the David & Goliath store when I was in Vegas.  I could have spent hundreds of dollars on the retarded shit they sell there. Just like the penis shirt they're all sorts of fun and inappropriate.  If you've never seen their stuff before, you can check it out here.  Below are a few of the pins that I bought that we're going to wear out tonight.  I think I'm either going with the spooning one or the rehab one.
(It actually says Monster I'd Like To Fluff in little letters)

Yes, they're all plastered onto my fabulous Vera Bradley backpack that I think I'm about to ditch.  It's totally not me, but it was a gift and I felt like I should get some use out of it.  Hell, I didn't even know paisley was so expensive till I had people tell me they loved it and it must have cost a lot.  What?  I'm not into all that fancy stuff, lol!  Oh yeah and pay no attention to my fabulous fake nails that I need taken off.  I was impulse pampering before vacation and had them done.  Now I wish they'd just fall off because I don't have the time to be all high maintenance and get them filled once a week.  Oh well, maybe I'll attempt to get them off this weekend.  I sure as shit ain't paying to have them taken off......

Ok, I swear, I'm done for the day now....

Tattoo Night

I really was excited to go out last night.  Happy hour with my peeps, what could be better?  Ok yeah, I know what's better, but you know what I mean.  I had to take Gav about 20 minutes away for soccer at 5:00.  My plan was to be back at the local watering hole for a drink before I had to go all the way back out there and pick him up.  Apparently the weather had other, more sober, plans for me.

The wind had been awful all day yesterday and though it didn't snow hardly at all (unlike it is right now....) snow was blown back over the roads.  It wasn't like I was staying in the suburbs where they actually plow either.  I had to drive the kid out into the "country".  I say that with quotes because it's really NOT country, well not country like I know, but that's how it's referred to around here.  Once I knew how bad the roads were there was no way I was even having one drink before I went back out to get him.

Happy hour was not happy.  I HATE drunk people when I'm not sharing in the fun.  I had enough of all that when I was preggo and their stupid designated driver for 9 months.  Not that having a DD is stupid, because it's not, ME being a DD is stupid....  I was never so happy to get out of there.

I made it back home without incident and poured myself a drink..... then another.  I was waiting on Tara and Mike to get to the house and pick me up to go watch Tara get her new tattoo and hang out with Tattoo Guy.  By the time they arrived I was buzzed enough that their constant high schooler like groping didn't bother me a whole lot.

We got to the shop and Tattoo Guy drew out what Tara wanted and they decided exactly where to place it on her foot.  She's already got a big one (well big for being on your foot), which is her zodiac sign and she was getting her two kids signs added to it.  Not exactly what I'd choose, but to each his own, right?

We had a good time chillin, drinking beers and watching Tara squirm in pain while Tattoo Guy showed the utmost patience with our antics.  Below are the pictures from last night.  Sadly I was a little too buzzed to remember to get a picture of the final product.  I'll do that this weekend.

By the time we were all done, the shop was closed, so we waited for Tattoo Guy to close the place up and got ready to head back to the hood.  I didn't want to ride with Tara and Mike, but TG had all his tools and work stuff in his truck from his other job.  They dropped me off back at the house and headed home.  TG showed up about half an hour later and once again we stayed up WAY too late chillin.

Tonight is 4th Friday at the local watering hole.  That's when all the alumni from our high school that graduated in the 90's meet up for a mini-reunion.  Last time it was off the hook.  This month I'd expect no less.  Plus I'll be sporting a special new shirt that I got at the David and Goliath store out in Vegas.  It's sure to be an attention getter.....  Saturday night is girls night out and we're going to a beach party at a bar where Nicole's (NC) friend works.  That will be a good time as well...  Sometime I need to fit in some sleep.  Now that my body is adjusted back to east coast time that should be more possible.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I'm Thinking I Should Make Plans....

Dear State Of Ohio

I know that I am a horrible, horrible person and lied during my divorce proceedings, but is making me wait 6 weeks on a paternity test in which I know the result sucks.  Can you please speed it up a little bit?  I'd like to maybe get a little child support before the kid turns one, which is in a month and a half.
Sincerely,
Tara

Lol, I forgot this one earlier and since Jordan's lawyer called and asked if I had gotten the results (NO, HELLO???) I figured I'd say something about the whole thing.  Yes, we're still waiting.....

5 Vials of Blood & Other Stuff

Ok, now that the weekend and the fallout after it is written up, we can move on.  I'm typing on a new laptop and the keyboard is waaaaay bigger than  my other one, so if something accidentally gets through my impeccable spelling skills, I'm gonna blame it on this stupid thing. I hate it, but I'm far too lazy to fix the other one right now.

Anywho, they took 5 vials of blood on Tuesday afternoon and I got the results back yesterday.  Why do I have all those bruises?  Drum roll please................  There is NOTHING wrong with me.  Well hell, ok then.  I'm a little pissed I wasted $25 on a copay just to have nothing wrong.... They could have at least told me I had the plague or something.  In any case, they're slowly going away.  Tara took pictures of them and is showing them to everyone along with the pictures she managed to snap when I was asking her if I had them on my chest and back.  God love her.  She's showing coworkers semi-nude shots of me on "accident"... Fabulous.

As far as what was going on with my mom, well she had her own little bit of nothing wrong too.  She was rushed by ambulance last week from her doctor to the hospital because she had been having chest pains for a week.  They admitted her for observation that day and she flipped out thinking she was dying or something.  They ended up doing a heart catheritization (I know I didn't spell that right, but spell check isn't helping me out) and found nothing wrong.  Those of you who have never been around someone who has had this procedure, consider yourself lucky.  My stepdad almost bled to death on Christmas Eve one year in front of my kids because he moved the wrong way after one.  Blood on the walls and ceiling does not make Santa happy.

Turns out, awhile back, my niece was about to fall down the stairs and when my mom went to grab her, she smashed her chest on the banister.  She cracked like 4 ribs in the incident and apparently there was some other damage nobody took the time to look at.  When she was shoveling all the heavy wet snow, she tore a muscle right over the old injury.  Case closed, she's good to go besides being all bruised up from the heart cath.

What else?  This computer is really pissing me off.  The touchpad is level with the computer so I keep hitting it, but the program to turn it off isn't installed and I can't get it to download online.  Gay. Gay. Gay.....

Tonight Tara and I are hosting happy hour at the local watering hole.  A whole bunch of people from work and all of our friends are going up.  I have to make sure she doesn't have more than a couple of beers because after we're done there, we're meeting up with Mike and going over to Tattoo Guy's studio so Tara can get a new tattoo.  THAT should be interesting....

Speaking of Tattoo Guy, I saw him last night.  He stopped by last night after work for what was supposed to be just a minute.  I don't know what just a minute is in his world, but 2:30am is not just a minute....  Oh well good thing I don't have a whole lot going on at work today.  I just managed to crash this computer, so I'm two for two today, but I got the damn touchpad turned off.  Stupid thing.

For Curious, this is Tara and Mike

As for a pic of me & Tattoo, well, here ya go.... It's not great, but it's all I've got right now.  Personally, I like this one better because there are no boys in it....

This one right here makes me laugh.  There's so much going on in it that it just cracks me up every time I look at it.  Especially  Tara and Eric in the background.  I mean, did he goose her and she's repulsed?  I have no idea, but it's good shit.

We're retarded, what can I say?

Oh yeah, I guess I forgot to mention the haircut.  I was bored last week and unlike my friends who get tattoos and pierce holes in their bodies, I'll usually just get something done to my hair.  This time it's bangs and a little shorter.  I'm still trying to decide if I like it or not.  I colored it too.  I was going to be different and go majorly lighter and what you see above is supposed to be "Butternut Blond". Uhh.... ok.  It doesn't even look like I did anything to it.  Oh well.  Maybe next time.

I guess that's all I've got for today.  Everyone have a good rest of your day and I'm off to read your blogs now :)

Doing What Had To Be Done

Tara and I talked and talked on Monday night.  I missed her.  She should have been the one I took to Vegas with me.  Right now I hate myself for not taking her.  We're already making tentative plans for going out in the fall.  Apparently the neighborhood was amiss because none of us was around all weekend.

She and I had been texting all weekend long.  She knew that I was unhappy with Kyle and what was going on.  Finally she asked me what I was going to do.  I told her I was going to break it off.  I knew this trip would be a make or break thing relationship-wise.  Unfortunately it broke.  I was so fucking annoyed with him all weekend that I couldn't enjoy myself in my favorite city.

Her guy, Mike came over and we just all sat around talking and having drinks.  I hadn't heard from Kyle since he left earlier that day.  Tattoo guy was texting both Mike and I (they're best friends) bummed that I hadn't invited him to hang out.  Well dude, I've got some things I gotta take care of before we can hang out again.

Finally around 10m Kyle walks in and plops down on the bed.  He doesn't have a whole lot to say as Tara, Mike and I sit around texting each other and being stupid.  We all hang out until around 11 when Kyle texts Mike and asks them to leave.  Mike isn't sure what to do, so he pries Tara's drunk ass out of my bed and they leave.  No sooner than the front door closing he was all up in my shit with the "What's wrong?" and all that bullshit.

I won't go into detail, but it's done with, feelings are hurt and I'm feeling bad all around.  At some point in the night he left, I'm not sure when.  He texted me yesterday morning to see if it was ok that he come and get his stuff.  I said of course it was ok.  It's not like I don't ever want to talk to him again.  We have too many friends in common to be all ugly with each other about the whole thing.  I do genuinely feel bad about the whole thing.  He's been here for me for 9 months now, but I just didn't see the relationship going anywhere. I don't want to get married, have more kids, all that.  He tried to say that neither did he, but we all know that at 20 years old it's fairly certain that he doesn't know what he wants out of life no matter how much he says he does.  The simple fact that he went out and bought a house proved that he was not going to move in with me ever.

Thank you Kyle for being my 5th longest relationship ever.......  Not including the one time I was married, the one time I was engaged and the relationships with my kids dads, you've stuck it out the longest.......  I was falling in love with the thought of you being around forever and something had to stop that......

Moving on, I'm going to see Tattoo guy tomorrow night when Tara, Mike and I go down to his tattoo shop for Tara to get her newest tattoo.  We'll see how all that goes......

The Vegas Trip Part 2

Saturdays and Sundays are champagne brunch, so it's almost $20 a person.  No champagne for me thank you.  Give me iced tea, I need caffeine.  I fill up my plate with all sorts of goodies.  They actually have a great offering here for breakfast, especially if you like crab legs, shrimp, oysters and all that crap.  Me?  Not so much.  I have a rules about my food and those three things fall under the "I don't eat if they've ever had or still have a shell" rule.  Oh well, it's my loss, I'm sure.  When I got back from filling my first plate, they had sat a large group in our area.  I was not pleased.  Why?  Because it was 15 35-40 year old man boys who were still drunk from the night before.  I wasn't amused.  I didn't need to hear that early in the morning that the one that was still in the room passed out got to stick it in the hooker's ass.  Really?  I expect to hear that shit out of 21 year old frat boys, not 40 year olds acting like they're 21. Ugg.  We quickly finish our meal and head out.

Kyle decided that he wanted to go up the Eiffel Tower, so that's what we did after breakfast.  I'd never been up and we had a half price coupon, so that's where we headed.  Seriously?  I could have done without being able to see out of the elevator on the way up.  It made me a little ill.  We were told that the tower alone makes about $30,000 a day!  Holy shit!!  The hotel paid for itself in something like 3 months after being built.  No wonder I can NEVER win anything there.....  The view from the top was really cool, but it was SO cold!  Actually it was raining a little when we got off the elevator.  We waited and waited to see a Bellagio fountain show while we were up there, but they canceled it because of the wind.  Oh well, Kyle got tons of cool pictures.  After we're done, we roam the strip a little more.

We finally end up in Aria on our way back down the strip.  I had a $100 a night offer to stay here, but free is better, so I declined.  We take a walk through the casino, and yes, it's dark like everyone says it is.  I like it though.  Beautiful details all over the place.  As we're heading toward the registration desk to go over to the shopping area, Crystals, and I see a blond who looks familiar, but I can't place her.  She gets closer and I realize it's Shannon Tweed and Gene Simmons!  I didn't even notice him because I was too busy trying to figure out who she was.  They passed us and smiled because I'm like "OMG Kyle that was Gene Simmons!!"  They were alone and I briefly entertained trying to get a picture with them, then decided against it.  I know from watching their show that Gene hates Vegas, so he must have had some sort of business thing going on over the weekend.  What it was, I have no clue.  We didn't hear of him doing anything there.

We continue heading up the strip and end up at Madame Tussad's.  I've been before, but I thought he would like it, so we went in.  We had an excellent time being all retarded and doing stupid shit with the wax figures.

Kyle has been sipping on 24 oz cans of Bud Light since about 11am.  He's pretty close to drunk.  I'm annoyed that I don't even have a buzz.  I take it upon myself to buy a bottle of Bacardi Limon and some Red Bull.  God, that was expensive.  Oh well.  We get back up to the room and the drunk decides he wants a nap.  Ok, well I'm gonna go downstairs and try to make some money. He whines about it.  I'm more than annoyed now and leave anyway.  I come back up to the room around 4:30, finally with a buzz, and he's whining about having to hang out by himself that evening because I had plans and they didn't include him.  Whatever.  I get a shower and get ready to go because Hurricane Mikey is supposed to be picking me up at 6:15 to head over to Linda Lou's show.  32 oz. of Bacardi & Red Bull does me just fine while getting ready.  I try to tell him that there is plenty to do and that I don't understand what the big deal is.  Finally I tell him to order the fights to the hotel room if he doesn't want to go out.  This makes him happy I guess, because he finally shuts up.

Once I'm finally ready to go, I head down to the valet to catch my ride.  Kyle isn't happy because I could be getting into a truck with a serial killer or something.  Whatever, I'm a big girl, I can take care of it.  We head off to the show and have a drink at the bar before and I get to meet Linda's mom.   She's all cute :)  The show was good, Linda has really done an awesome job putting the show together based on her book, with other interesting bits thrown in.  If you don't already have her book, Bastard Husband, you should get it here.  After the show we got to have a drink with Linda, her mom and her sister Lori.  It was really cool to finally meet both Linda and Mikey after following both their blogs for quite some time.  Mom and Lori were a bonus since Linda does quite a bit of talking about them.  Aren't we cute?  She looks like she could be my Vegas sister, not Vegas Mom!!

After a round of drinks, the girls were going in to watch the comedy show, so Mikey and I decided to hit the strip.  We wandered around, I felt up Donnie Osmond's package and ended up at Margaritaville for some food.  We got the nachos because they were supposed to be great and they didn't disappoint.

(Before)

 (After)

I suppose we should have just stuck with them rather than getting sandwiches as well because we really didn't do them justice.  The cover band they had playing there was FREAKING AWESOME, we should have definitely got their name because I'd like to just chill and listen to them again.  After that Mikey dropped me back at the hotel where I was greeted by a very disgruntled drunk boy.  Good thing I had a pretty good buzz too.  I rolled over and went to sleep because I didn't want to argue with him.  We've gone 9 months without an argument, I wasn't going to get in one while we were on vacation.

Sunday morning all is well with him again.  Whatever.  Our plans were to go out to Hoover Dam, go visit the Pawn Stars pawn shop and go to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign.  Those plans were thwarted by a BITCH of a rental car agent.  Because my last name on my credit card hadn't been changed since my divorce she refused to rent me a car.  Ok then, now what?  We order room service for breakfast since I still have so much resort money to use.  Who knew that 2 orders of french toast, an omelet with hashbrowns, 1 liter of Oj  and a liter of Iced Tea would cost $80?  Lol, now I know.  It didn't matter a whole lot, so whatever.  We ate and tried to figure out what we were going to do for the day since now we didn't have plans.  In the shower I notice that the bruises are getting worse and now pretty much cover from my calves all the way up to my ass.  Fucking great......

Tattoo guy had been texting me all weekend.  He asked me to pickup some chips for him and I hadn't done that yet.  Ok then, we're going to casino hop and get chips.  I can't disappoint tattoo guy now can I?  I went downstairs to VIP services and got us a late checkout for 2pm.  The VIP clerk was like "girl!!!  do you know you have all this resort credit left??  Get you a nice meal or something!!"  I told her that we had just had $80 in room service and she laughed.  She said "well, go spend it in the shops or something, I wouldn't leave anything!"  I laughed about how animated she was about the whole thing.  I asked which stores I could spend it in and she told me.  Damn, I should have considered that before I spend $6 a beer in the gift shop.  I called Kyle and he came down and we bought $230 worth of shit at the main gift shop, which had some pretty cool stuff.

We took all the crap back up to the room, packed up, took our bags down to the bell desk, checked out with a hotel bill of a whopping $29.00 (tip for room service and overage at the gift shop) and hit the strip.  We wandered the strip for a couple of hours, then it was time to collect our bags and get to the airport.  On one hand I was hoping that the weather back home would prevent us from leaving Vegas.  On the other, I knew that one more day with Kyle and I might kill him.  We got to the airport and got to our gate with an hour to spare.  I sat down by an outlet so I could charge my phone and text Tara because she was in the car riding back from her weekend trip to Indianapolis.  Kyle wandered around the airport.

The flight home was uneventful.  I started to read my new Cosmo and after about 20 minutes laid my head down on my tray table and slept the whole way home, only woken up when we were told we were descending into Columbus.  We start to descend and all the sudden it feels like someone is stabbing me in the eye.  I could hardly stand it.  Stupid sinus infection that won't go away!!  We arrive safely and are back at the house by 1am.

Nicole is at the house with the kids.  I wake her up and get her home.  When I get back in the door I promptly go into the little guy's room and pick him up.  I know that he's been miserable all weekend.  He wakes up and gives me the smile that I needed.  I lay him back down and he falls right to sleep.  All is right in his world now.  Kyle is in the room watching tv.  He wants to know what's bothering me.  I tell him I'm tired and we'll talk tomorrow, knowing full well that I just need to say it and get it over with.  Sleep comes easily, I'm exhausted.

Monday morning comes and I need to get up and take everyone to school.  The little guy has sores on his mouth now.  Well, I guess he's not going to daycare again today.  I drop the big kids off and head to his doctor's office.  Luckily they take walk-ins from 8-9am.  He's got hand, foot, mouth.  Luckily it's only in his mouth.  He can go back to daycare on Tuesday because he no longer has a fever.  Awesome.  I make plans not to come into work and spend the day sitting in awkwardness with Kyle and a baby who can't sleep because of the sores.

Finally the big kids get home from school and I can go take a nap.  When I lay down Kyle says he's going to his house for awhile.  Whatever.  I've had more than enough of him at this point.  I wake up around 6 and tend to kids needing things.  Tara is coming over and I feel like I need to get the house in order because with her it's always a competition.  She shows up around 6:30 and we catch up on everything that went on with both of our trips and some other stuff, all while catching the best buzz I've had in days.

Kyle is nowhere to be found this evening.  No calls, no texts, nothing.......

The Vegas Trip Part 1

Where to begin?

I had to work on Thursday.  It was quite possibly the longest day of my life.  I had a sick kid all night and just wasn't feeling like going to work.  But I did, only because I was late or had to take off at some point every single day last week.  I said goodbye to the kids, who really didn't give two shits that I was leaving.  The big kids were going to grandma's house where they would be spoiled all weekend.  The little one was going with an assortment of my friends since my mother flat out refused to keep him all weekend.  It was a good thing I made other arrangements for him anyway since she was in the hospital all week and finally discharged on Thursday morning.

I was supposed to leave work at 4:00 for our 5:25 departure.  I made it until 3:45 and I was running out the door.  Our flight was an hour late leaving due to deicing and all that good crap.  We had an uneventful flight until we came into Las Vegas airspace.  The President was flying in at exactly the same time, so we had to circle for about 20 minutes.  Damn President delaying my vacation!  We finally landed, grabbed our stuff and headed out to get a taxi.  In another 20 minutes we were being dropped off at the Monte Carlo.

At check-in I checked to see if they had any Spa rooms available.  They didn't.  Bummer....  VIP check-in was quick and I was told about my perks and all that good stuff.  Finally up in our room, the first thing I checked out was the view.  Below us was the pool complex and across from us was City Center and a direct view of their monorail system.  I decided I wanted mexican, so we went over to Gonzalez y Gonzalez at NYNY for dinner.  Kyle ingested 24 ounces of beer before we got over there and looked at me across the table and said "Babe, I'm drunk."  How fucking romantic.  We manage to make it through dinner without any incidents.  The rest of the evening we wander the strip and I use up my freeplay from the casino to jump start my gambling.  I managed to put over 1000 points on my players club card only costing me $60 in the long run.  I played until there was nothing left, then went over to play some blackjack.

What a mistake.  I've never seen a dealer pull so many 21's in my life.  Needless to say, I was out $200 in less than an hour.  Ok, I've been up for 24 hours now, time for some sleep.  Kyle was fast asleep in the room by the time I got up there, having had a rough trip back to Ohio.

Friday morning I'm woken up by my idiot friends text messaging me to see how things were going.  Apparently they forgot about the 3 hour time difference and thought texting me at 7am Vegas time would be a good idea.  We laid around for awhile and then decided to get up and head on down to Paris for their breakfast buffet.  While Kyle was in the shower, I get a phone call from daycare.  The little one needs to be picked up, he's got sores inside his mouth.  FUCK.  I knew none of my people would be able to go and get him, but I stalled for a way to get the kid out of there.  We went and had a great breakfast while I weighed my options on what to do with the kid.  Finally I called them back and told them JoJo would be able to pick him up, but not until 3:30.  That was the best I could do since she was the one keeping him over the weekend anyway.

After I got all that sorted out, we walked the strip ducking in and out of casinos all day checking things out.  Since Kyle had never been before, he was just amazed by everything taking pictures left and right.  We ended up down at Mandalay Bay and visited the Shark Reef.  I had been there before, but it was on his list of things to do, so we did it.  It was cool, just like the last time I was there.  Nothing much has changed with any of the exhibits since I first saw it when the hotel opened.

I wanted to get a nap before dinner, so around 3, we went back to the room and slept for a couple of hours.  By 5:00 we were up again and getting ready to go to Top of the World for dinner.  I noticed that I had several ugly looking bruises on my legs.  Eww that doesn't look nice.....  Once I got all pretty in my dress (uggggg) and boots, we were out the door and off to the Stratosphere.  I had never been down there before.  Well ok, I did get married over there in the ghetto, but I've never been to any casino north of the Wynn.  The place was packed!  We're screened by an unhappy security guard and we're on our way up.  My ears are popping and I'm uncomfortable.  Luckily we get up there relatively quickly.

We're quickly escorted to our table and our server was Lenny.  He lacked any sort of customer service skills, we'll just say that.  After taking 20 minutes to even ask us what we wanted to drink, we were ready to order.  I can say that I've had my first ever $15 Appletini.  It was worth every penny....  For dinner, we both picked Fillet and chose the three cheese gratin potatoes and creamed sweet potatoes.  I'm weird about steak.  The once or twice a year that I have it, it HAS to be medium-well.  I know, I know, that's too done to really enjoy it.  Call me weird, that's how it's gotta be.  In all the other restaurants I've been to, the fillet has been butterflied open to insure it's cooked properly.  Gallagher's at NYNY and Delmonico at the Venetian both did this and I had awesome steaks there.

Our food arrived and I'll just say I was disappointed.  Yes, it was a good portion (10oz.).  It was more than well done and tough though.  Kyle loved his of course, because it was still mooing and bleeding all over the plate.  The potato dishes were both just ok.  I didn't send my steak back, perhaps I should have, but at that point, I was starving since we hadn't eaten since breakfast.

All said and done, our bill came to over $150 for the two of us, with one alcoholic beverage.  Obviously we weren't paying for top notch food, but for the scenery.  The view of Vegas was incredible.  Our meal took an entire rotation of the restaurant and it was possibly one of the coolest things I've done out there.  After we were done eating we went up to the indoor observation deck.  One thing I'm wondering about.....  They're putting in a new attraction at the Stratosphere where it's basically a controlled free fall from the building.  I WOULD BE PISSED if I'm spending $150 on dinner to see some asshole drop off the side of the building.  It's above the restaurant, so I don't see how this wouldn't be irritating to people having dinner.  Anyway, we took lots of pictures up there and finally decided we were done and went back to the hotel to get out of our monkey clothes and head to Fremont Street.

After changing, we decided to walk off dinner back up the strip and just get a cab from one of the hotels up that way.  The crowds were ridiculous Friday night.  If there's a decline in tourism, I'm not sure when they're seeing it.  This past weekend was as busy as I saw it two years ago when I was there last.

We walk all the way up to Treasure Island and hop a cab downtown from there.  We get dropped off at the Plaza just as a light show is starting under the canopy.  It's Queen and everyone is having a GOOD (read that as drunk, dancing all over the place) time.  Kyle has never seen anything like it before and really enjoys it.  After the show is over, we spend some time walking around, hopping in and out of casinos and checking out all the little booths and street performers.  I try to make something happen at the blackjack table, but just couldn't get anything going for the life of me.  We stay for the next show, which is Kiss and around 11 we call it a night and head back to the Monte Carlo.  I was beat, having only gotten a couple of hours of sleep and a short nap and was sleeping by midnight.

At 4am I was woken up by my phone going off.  Damn it, I thought I set my Twitter account NOT to put updates through before 7am???  Oh yeah, that's 7am eastern time.... Fuck.  Ok then.  I roll over and sleep till about 8, when my phone starts going off because my retarded friends back home are texting me.  Being as I haven't been drinking due to lack of cocktail service all over the city, 8am isn't all that bad....  We get ready and head down to the Monte Carlo buffet to use some of the $350 in resort credit I have to spend.  I notice there are more bruises on my legs in the shower and show them to Kyle.  He notes that he DID NOT kick me to bruised hell in my sleep.  Ok then, but wow, good thing it's not shorts weather.....

To Be Continued....

Not A Good Day

  • I don't have a whole lot of time right now, but I wanted to throw something up here.  Random thoughts, I guess.  I had a shitty time in Vegas, with the exception of Saturday night when I hung out with Mikey and met Linda.  More on that later.
  • I came home to a kid that was still sick with sores all over his mouth and a fever.  That meant I had to take the day off yesterday.  I needed an extra day, so that was ok with me.  Dealing with a kid who screamed all day long sucked though.
  • On the advice of some people, I'll be making some changes around here real soon.  Yeah, as soon as I can find the time.  I should have plenty more time in the evenings now.
  • I broke it off with Kyle last night.  After him being the way he was all weekend, I really felt it was the only thing I could do.  It crushed him and totally sucked.
  • I woke up Friday morning with some bruises on my legs.  One of them were particularly ugly.  I woke up Saturday morning and there were more.  I woke up Sunday morning and my legs are covered in wicked bruises.  I look like a victim of some severe violence.  Well, if someone opted to just hit me in my legs I do.  It's retarded.  Tara took pictures and then checked the rest of me for them and there weren't any.  I'm going to the doctor here in a little bit to get it checked out because obviously something's wrong.
  • I wanted to thank you guys for all the comments, both supportive and not.  I really do try to take what everyone says to heart and really think about what I'm doing and how it's affecting everyone else.  Most of the time I say that I don't care about the dumb shit I do, but I really do care.  Time to start acting like it.
Hopefully I'll be able to get you a full writeup of at least Vegas tonight or tomorrow morning.  We'll see how things go at the doctor.

Have a great day everyone :)

Let Me Say This

What went on this weekend isn't something that typically happens.  K knows full well about me and my commitment problems.  If he was around all the time, this kind of stuff wouldn't happen.  I'm doing the best I can, but sometimes i slip up.  End of story.  You can save your judgments for someone who cares.  I just thought I should probably throw this out here....

Where Did We Leave Off?

Oh yeah, Sunday morning.  Tara and I ate our greasy scrambled eggs and bacon while chattering about the night before.  As I've said, Tara has fallen for Mike hard.  They make out like high school kids all the time and have a hard time keeping their hands off each other.  To be quite honest?  They make me incredibly uncomfortable, especially since it's never just me and her hanging out anymore.  But, I'm a good friend, so to each his own.

While we're having breakfast, Mike is constantly texting Tara.  I'm annoyed because it's obvious he and Tattoo Guy are talking about stuff, which makes Tara grill me even harder.  Fine, do you really wanna hear it Tara?  I had incredibly hot sex with this dude last night.  Like REALLLLLLLY incredible.  Then I get all the standard questions that girls ask other girls about guys.  I'm giggling about all of it.  She asks if I'm going to call him.  I tell her no, it was what it was and that was it. She laughs and continues texting Mike.

If I haven't said it before, I'll say it now.  Call me fucked up or whatever, this is how it is for me.  Sex is just sex.  It's not emotional, it's physical.  It's something that I physically need to balance my emotional state, lol.  I don't associate it with love, romance, whatever you want to call all of that.  I know that's not the typical girly thing to say, but I tend to think more like a guy in this aspect.  You can refrain from commenting about this.

After breakfast Tara drops me off at the house and I continue putting together my new bookshelf that I bought to put my tv on.  I want to put a small couch in my bedroom and the only way to accomplish this is to get rid of the ex's massive entertainment center.  My mind keeps wandering back to that piece of paper sitting by the bed.  Why am I even entertaining the thought of texing him?  Because I find him fascinating.  Plumber by day, tattoo artist by night.  Single dad with full custody of his kids, who are a little older than my two oldest.  There's just something about him.......  Well shit.... I ended up texting him that evening.

I HATE talking on the phone.  He texts me back and tells me he's been thinking about me all day, that there's something about me...  FUCK.  We text back and forth all evening.  Monday rolls around and I don't hear from him all day.  Ok cool, he backed off.  Monday night I get a text saying that he hopes that I had a good day and maybe he could see me again before I go on vacation.  My dumbass response?  Can I see you tonight?  I didn't think he would say yes.  We were in the middle of another huge snowstorm and the roads were really bad.  Within an hour, he's at my house and we're having drinks and watching tv.  I figure it out.  It's his eyes.  I've always been a sucker for some baby blues and his are really blue with green in the middle.

4:45am rolled around all too soon and he had to leave for work.  I didn't end up heading to work until around 10 because daycare had a delayed opening.  Sweet.  I was tired.  I get a text later that day telling me he enjoyed hanging out with me and told me I'm beautiful.  I tell him I had a good time too, but he can stop with the compliments, it's not going to get him anywhere.  I hate getting compliments.  They make me EXTREMELY uncomfortable.  It's just one of those things I have a hard time accepting.  I just don't know what to say.  Nobody's ever beaten me down and said I was ugly or anything.  It's just one of those things I guess.

He's sad that I tell him not to compliment me.  He asks when we can hang out again.  I hesitate.  Tara said that Mike told him that I've got a guy who's not around alot of the time, so I was just looking to have some fun..... Or so I thought.

I tell him it'll be about a month before I can see him again.  He asks why?  I finally tell him in a round about way about Kyle.  He's pissed.  Apparently Mike didn't tell him what we thought he did.  In less than a week I've managed to break this guy's heart.  Yeah, that's what he said.  I feel horrible because I genuinely like this guy and could see myself with him if I didn't already have what I've got going on.  I manage to get him to come over after work so that I can explain the situation.  He doesn't want to come in second to anyone.  It's all or nothing.  I can't wrap my mind around all this.  I can't ditch Kyle, who's been there for me through some major shit over the last 9 months, for this guy who I barely know, even though we have this amazing connection.  Who's to say that in a month he'd still be there?  I'm in the middle of a retarded paternity mess, which anytime now is going to result in a child custody mess.  I wouldn't want to be seeing someone who was dealing with all that right out of the gate.  Kyle?  Well he accepts all of it.  He doesn't judge me or the things I've done.  That's what makes he and I work.  Taking a chance with a new one right now?  No, I can't do that.  I owe Kyle more than that.  I may do dumb shit when he's not home, but when he's here, I give him every spare second of time I have.

Tattoo left Tuesday night and I haven't heard from since.  I can't help but thinking in a different place and time, that could have all worked out........

Well.... Alrighty Then.....

So, I purposely left a bunch of work sit on my desk all week so that I'd have something to get me through 8 hours of work today.  What's the problem?  It's 11am and I'm already done with it all.  Damn it!  What the hell am I going to do until 4:00?  I'm gonna read and comment on all of the blogs I read I suppose.  Well, and write this.  That should take like an hour or so.

Where did we leave off last week?  Oh yeah, my financially irresponsible shopping habits.  Well, we all know that I haven't been miraculously cured of the shopping bug.  I went to Kohl's with Tara last night to help her find some clothes.  Now that she's got a man and shit, she's changing.  She wants to look nice.  Granny panties and Walmart bras are no longer acceptable attire.  Of course I couldn't go with her and not buy something for myself.  Duh!  Plus some things that were merely on sale last week were now on clearance so I couldn't resist.  She kept me there for over an hour trying on all kinds of clothes that I could never see her wearing, but whatever.  The dumb things we do when we think we're in love, right?

So, back to the weekend.  After work on Friday I had some time to myself, so I got my hair cut.  Shorter and with bangs.  I'm still on the fence about whether I actually like it or not.  Once I take a good pic of it, I'll post for your viewing pleasure.

Friday night, the hood came to my house.  We all laid around my room drinking and watching some Christopher Titus stand-up show.  Love Is Evol I think it was called, and yes, I know I spelled evil wrong, that was part of the joke.  It was some good stuff.  Tara's guy, Mike invited one of his friends over.  We'll call him "Tattoo Guy".

Let's go back a little here.....  Tara and I make fun of Mike.  He's an Affliction Douchebag.  Ok, well, he's not a douchebag, but he wears Affliction and Tap Out clothes, which automatically gets him the douchebag label.

Mike's friend Tattoo Guy walks into the middle of a conversation about Mike's Affliction shirt.  What do I say? "The only thing worse than an Affliction Douchebag is an Ed Hardy Douchebag."  Tattoo Guy laughs and shows us his Ed Hardy belt.  Great.  Hey, I'm all about making good impressions on good looking men.  We all chill until like midnight and call it a night because we have plans the next night.  Tattoo Guy agrees to go with all of us to the local watering hole.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm attracted to Tattoo Guy.  He is MOST DEFINITELY not my type.  First of all, at 38, he's too old.  He's got tattoos all over and two kids.  WELL HELLO, three strikes right there.  There was just something about him though....

Saturday, Tara, Nicole and I head out to get pedicures for something to do.  Well, everywhere has an hour + wait because apparently everyone needs hot toes for Valentine's Day.  We shop for Tara an outfit for the night and head home.  On the way home Dave calls and wants to know what we're doing.  I tell him getting ready to go out and within 5 minutes, he's at my house.  He sits there drinking his beer while Nicole and I get ready to go.  Eventually Tara gets back to the house and I can tell Dave is in heaven.  Girls all around him getting dressed, makeup and all that shit.  Needless to say, he drank his entire 6 pack while we were at my house.

Once we finally get to the watering hole and up to our table, I'm already a little hit in the mouth.  I had two drinks at the house and Dave and I smoked on the way over.  I was ready to rock and roll :)  I look up and Tattoo Guy is there with Mike, who is yet again wearing an Affliction shirt, just for me.  I'm busy floating around the bar all night, casually talking to Tattoo Guy when I can find the time.  The old boyfriend, Brad, I talked about awhile back that told me he dumped me because I was too skinny showed up.  I was glad to see he's still short and fat.  He also brought another one of my ex's with him which made me laugh.  God, the trifecta would have been perfect if the ex-husband walked in the door.  Jeez.  Long story short, we closed the place down.  I had to drive Mike's car home because he doesn't normally drink and was LIT.  Me, not so much.  Tattoo Guy follows me home because Tara & Mike are supposed to be coming down.  We get in the house and Mike texts Tattoo Guy saying they were heading home instead.  FUCK.  Ok then....

We talk for hours.  As I sober up, I realize that I'm talking to one cool guy and the more we talk, the more I'm attracted to him.  The sun is already up when we pass out around 8am.  By 10 Ev was up screaming to be let out of bed.  By 11:30 Tara is calling me to go to breakfast.  Her and Mike come down and it's decided the guys are going to Waffle House, girls and kids to Big Boy.  Nice.  He asks if he can leave his number for me.  I tell him I rather he didn't.  He does it anyway.........

To Be Continued......

I've Got Plenty of Stuff

To talk about, but no time to write any of it down.  Some stupid shit has gone on this past week that I wanna get out in the open, but things are kind of crazy at work right now and I'm trying to get everything packed for vacation and kids spending time in different places over the weekend.  K will get home at about 4am and our flight out leaves at 5pm.  Good stuff.

If you're the praying type, can you keep my mom in your thoughts?  She went to the doctor yesterday because she's been having chest pains for the last week and they sent her by ambulance to the hospital.  She was admitted and today they're doing a heart cath.  Since nobody's really talking to me, I don't have any other information right now.  She might be a total bitch and all, but honestly I don't know what I'd do without her.

If I don't get back here before I leave, everyone have an awesome weekend.  I'm really looking forward to getting out of the two feet of snow we have, heading to the desert and meeting Hurricane Mikey and Linda Lou.  That should give me something to talk about next week :)

She's Got Issues....

I love this song.  Maybe because it reflects so well some people I know.  Anyway, on to my issues.  I spent some quality me time last night.  Got my nails done, which normally isn't something I indulge in because I have nice fingernails and well, fake ones are high maintenance and I'm not that kind of girl.  Apparently I'm lacking something in my diet right now that's making them break left & right, so I'll rock these until I get bored or run out of maintenance money for them.  They're a little too long though.  It's hard to mess with my iPhone.  I suppose I'll get used to them.

I was out looking for a better dress last night.  My mistake?  Going to Macy's.  They're having a huge sale.  I got 4 winter coats and 2 sweaters and a hoodie for $85.  Clearly a rational person would say "What the hell do you need with 4 winter coats?"  I am not rational.  I said "Look!  These are on sale for less than $20 each!  I must have one in every color!!"  I mean, they're like hundred dollar Roxy coats for $17.00!  Yeah, I've got issues.  You don't have to tell me.  This is why I'm broke all the time.  When I'm feeling even the slightest bit down and go shopping, I spend, spend, spend.  All that was on top of the dress, pants and 5 shirts I bought at Kohls yesterday.

Today I'm having buyer's remorse.  I'm taking back the dress and the pants to Kohls.  They were expensive and I don't like the way they fit.  Plus, Brandon told me I looked preggo in the dress.  I hate having 13 year old boys critiquing my outfits.  Gavin tells me how it is, but he was passed out on the couch from all the shoveling they did around the neighborhood yesterday.  They raked in close to $100, so they were happy about that.

Umm, let's see, what else is going on?  Oh yeah I got Kyle his Vday gift last night.  It's not very romantic (but then again, neither am I), but I got him a camera.  I think it's an Olympus (?)  I don't know, the sales guy was hot, so I really wasn't paying attention to the actual camera, other than making sure it wasn't hot pink.  Something about 10 mega-pixels or maybe it was 10X zoom.  I don't know.  I got the camera, extra battery, 4gb flash card and a case for $189.99.  Quite the bargain if I do say so myself.  It's nicer than mine, so of course I'm jealous.  I'm not buying another digital camera for myself until I can get one of those $900 Canons though, so whatever.

He was planning on buying himself one when he got back to take on vacation and to take pictures of cool things he sometimes sees on the boat, so I just saved him some trouble :)  Besides, he doesn't have much time when he gets home to be doing all that anyway.  Under normal circumstances, he'd be getting home around 6am on Thursday morning and we leave at 5:00 that night.  We might get a little lucky though.  He just messaged me and said that the Illinois river is freezing up completely, so they'll have to be heading south, then back over this way.  Anything to get him a little closer to home.

Normally, he gets off the boat up around Chicago, gets in a van, which takes him to Paducah (8 hours), where his truck sits, then he has to drive back to Columbus from there (another 7 hour drive).  It sucks considering I can be to Chicago and back in 8 hours, but that's how the company does things and he gets paid for sitting in the van and gas for the big red truck to drive to and from Paducah.  Whatever.  All I know is, we better not get more of this shitty ass snow next week and it get in the way of him getting home.  We don't have any time to be messing around before our flight leaves.

Anyway, that's about all I have to report today.  Not a whole lot going on around here.  Now it's time to do my rotation through your blogs :) Have a good day!

It's All About The Boots....

So I got my Valentine's Day gift from Kyle last night.  That poor boy, he really tried hard this time.  I'm hard to please.  I had said at one point that my favorite hooker boots are about ready to be retired.  I mean, I bought them at Payless like 3 years ago and are one of the most frequently worn items in my shoe closet.  They're comfortable as hell and I love them.  The problem?  I can't find a pair like them anywhere.  They are knee high, with a nice round toe and a chunky two inch heel.  Ever since I had to have my ligaments in my ankle sewn back together, I stay away from stilettos.  Plus, one of the reasons I had to have the ankle sewn back together had to do with me being clumsy, so chunky heals it is.

Kyle was looking for a pair that fitted my wants, trying to be all sneaky about it.  I already had looked everywhere, both online and in the stores with no luck.  He found a pair that are close though.  I got these super cute Steve Maddens from the UPS man last night.

I'll give him this... At least the toe isn't super pointy and the heel isn't super skinny.  I look hot in them.  I wore them around the house last night to get used to the heel.  Needless to say, I won't be wearing them out in the 18" of snow we have right now.  I like them though.

Since he won't be here for Valentine's Day, he just had them shipped in early.  That's cool with me, I'm not big on the holiday anyway.  He also made reservations for us to go to Top Of The World restaurant at the Stratosphere when we're in Vegas.  How cute.  Now I just have to find something nice to wear.  I don't have very many dress clothes just for the simple fact that, on any given day, I could be crawling around on the floor hooking up computers and stuff at work.  I don't go anywhere else that requires anything nice, so I'm going out and buying a nice dress tonight.  We'll see how that goes.....  I know I don't have to dress super nice to eat there, but I wanna look nice since I'll be sporting ridiculously expensive (by my standards) boots.  Maybe tomorrow I'll have some pics of clothes and shoes for anyone actually interested.

Anyway, that's all I've got for now.  Happy Hump Day peeps!

Have I Told You.....

How much I fucking HATE snow?  Why is it that my mother decided to move to Ohio and not Arizona when we were packing up and getting the hell out of the town that had basically folded up into nothing?  Stupid, stupid woman.....  Here's my car during the snowstorm on Friday.  We actually got let out of work an hour early because of this:

Yeah, I started shoveling after I realized the Sebring wasn't going to make it up the driveway.  Being as it sits 3 inches off the ground, it's not real snow-friendly....  I live on an emergency route through the neighborhood, so in front of my house is one of the first residential places to get plowed, but that created a host of other problems.  Mainly all the shit that they plowed into the end of the driveway.  I'm not opposed to shoveling (it was my excuse for not going to the gym Friday and Saturday), but DAMN that shit was heavy!  You know, the kind of snow that all the kids want, snowman snow.  Unfortunately when it got dark and the temperature dropped, it turned to ice and was super hard to get shoveled, especially the big chunks from the plow.  I got stuck every time I left the house last weekend.  Central Ohio rarely sees snow of this magnitude.  12" at my house by midday on Saturday.  WTF?  I thought we got away from all this when we left PA.
I get up this morning and go to wake up the big kids.  G tells me he's gotten 12 text messages saying school is canceled.  I say whatever.  I had just been up at 4am and there wasn't half an inch of new snow.  I knew it hadn't snowed that much in two hours.  He turns on the tv and shows me that school is indeed closed.  WTF?  I spent all evening cleaning last night and now it'll be undone by kids being home all day.

Turns out, even with that little amount of snow, the roads were horrible this morning.  Plus, we're supposed to get an additional 6-8 inches of snow today.  WTF?  It's that dusty blowing shit this time.  Good for skiing, not so much for driving.  Hopefully I can go home early again today.  I really wanted to lay in bed like the rest of the household, but unless it's a Level 3 snow emergency, we have to come in to work.

How about that shit over further toward the east coast?  Any of you guys in all that?  2 feet of snow??  That reminds me of being a kid and once having to burrow what amounted to a tunnel from our front door out to the mailbox.  There was 3+ feet of snow.  I was probably 7.  That was cool back then, now, not so much!  You're all going to get hit hard again today, that shit's no good.

So, the kids are off today, probably tomorrow, then have Friday and Monday off because of President's Day and some other stupid teacher in-service day.  I may strangle one of them before it's all over with.  Thank god I leave for vacation next Thursday.  I don't care that it's not super hot and nice in Vegas right now, anything's better than this.....

Ugh. This Kinda Sucks....

So JoJo emailed me a job posting at her work.  I'm not gonna lie, I'm interested.  It's 1 1/2 times what I make now to start, possibly more.  My problem?  I've been stuck in the same job rut for 11 1/2 years now and have grown super comfortable.

I have a job where nobody cares when I come and go, or for the most part, what I do when I'm here.  I have a month of vacation and assorted other "benefits".  Sounds ok right?  I also have a $50,000 education and am only bringing home roughly $34,000 a year.  Making this kind of money was not the reason I went to college.  I wanted to be a rich bitch.  I mean, to be technical about it, I still qualify for some public assistance benefits, not that I use them.  That's a pathetic display of wealth for giving someone a third of my life at this point.....

I'm thinking it's time to move on.  The problem?  My resume sucks.  It's 10 freaking years old.  I'm a great writer.  I can put shit into nice eloquent words, just not when talking about myself.  I mean, how do you write that I've been this company's bitch for almost 12 years?  I can and have done pretty much everything in this place.  I just can't put it onto paper to sound good.  I've read resume writing websites and looked at templates, I just can't figure out how to make me stand out from everyone else who's applying for this job.  The hours are better, the money is better, the benefits are better.  What will suck?  It's downtown.  Somewhere I never go unless I need to pick someone up from jail or go to court.  Ugh.  Life would be a whole lot better with the extra money, but then again is it worth having to get up so much earlier for the 30-45 minute commute?  Well yeah, it probably is.

So, if any of you are kick ass resume writers, let me know.  I have a list of crap that I've done and all that shit, I just don't know how to put it all together and "sell" myself......

I LOVE This Shirt.....

I really don't have anything to say today.  I'm sitting at work perusing the internet for offensive t-shirts to add to my collection, wishing I was a boy and could buy this one:

I suppose I could still buy it and get some interesting looks if I wore it out, but it would be funnier on one of my guy friends.  For only $7.50, I might just buy it for shits & giggles and see which drunk I can get to wear it when we go to the bar next time.....
I don't know, I'm kinda blah today.  This stupid Ohio weather really sucks balls and I can't go to the gym or tanning tonight because I have to do one of my friend's taxes.  Yeah, I know, an idiot can do their own taxes with minimal effort online these days and especially this girl because she doesn't have ANYTHING to claim.  Maybe she won't stay forever and I'll get to go.

I highly doubt it because she's having boy troubles.  Her and her guy hate each other and are splitting up or so they say for the 500th time.  Normally I would say cool, because I'm all for getting out of a miserable relationship, but she has no license, a car that's in his name name and only works 3 days a week.  She won't survive on her own because she's just not that strong. Hell, she lived on my couch forever before she met him because she couldn't keep an apartment to save her life. I'm usually the first to jump in and help if one of my friends is having a problem.  I've rescued this girl so many times and talked her off so many "ledges" that every time I talk to her, it's just flat out depressing anymore.  I CAN'T STAND THAT.  I don't want to be a bad friend, but I just want to say "SHUT THE HELL UP!!!" Let's talk about me for once ok?  She tried to guilt me into going out last Saturday night when all I really wanted to do was stay home with K.  I didn't give in because she could have just as easily come out on Friday night with the rest of us.  Oh well, the whole thing is dumb.  Maybe I'll have something besides penis t-shirts and being whiny like my friends tomorrow.

Oh yeah, since there will be no humping on this fine hump day, I doubt it...........

I'm Working On It

Me that is.  I'm working on me.  I wanted to do a lengthy post about everything that's been going on with me, both mentally and physically that I haven't been talking about, but none of it matters.  You wanna know what matters???  All of these great things....

  • I'm back on my gym routine 4-5 days a week.  This has automatically made me feel so much better.  The only thing I hate is the "January Joiners" who make it extremely difficult to get my workout in with a quickness.  Hopefully they'll all break their resolutions this month and it'll slow down there.
  • I have figured out what's causing the rash all over my skin.  Apparently I'm allergic to drama.  Every time I get stressed out, it comes back looking really angry.  I'm doing my best not to get stressed out and just kinda chill so that it stays gone, mostly because it's super ugly and I'm that vain......
  • I bought a tanning package yesterday.  You can say what you want about skin damage and whatnot, but both physically and mentally I feel better when I have a tan.  It helps the skin problems I have, making me feel better about my appearance, and I use the time that I'm in there to just plain relax.  I have very little time for myself, but those 10-20 minutes I'm there, nobody can bother me.  It really gives me time to think about my day and get stuff together in my head for the next day.
  • My boy loves me.  Yeah, he told me so.  As not ready as I was for what has happened with him and I, it's nice to know someone besides your kids love you.  It puts a smile on my face whenever I think about it.  Who knows where our relationship will go, but I'm in a good place with all of that right now.  He understands me and puts up with a ton of my shit and is NEVER FAZED by anything I say or do.  He has stuck by me during an incredibly difficult time in my life and in my opinion, that's a good guy.  I'm gonna try not to fuck all of this up.
  • Little Ev is getting to be so much fun!  He's finally trying to crawl, but I'm sure he's just gonna say fuck it and get up and walk.  He's already gotten his first bump on the head at daycare pulling himself up into the standing position.  I really do like kids from about 1-3 years old.  They're so full of wonder about everything going on and wanting to learn about everything.  It's fun.  The big kids are having to put up ALL of their stuff and keep their bedrooms closed up though since the kid is getting into EVERYTHING.  Maybe this will convince them to get rid of some of the shit in their rooms.
  • In 16 days, 6 hours and 8 minutes, my feet will be hitting the ground in Vegas.  I can't even explain how happy I am to be getting out of here, if only for a few days.  To go with someone who's never been is even better.  Them taking everything in for the first time is an amazing experience.  I love it.  What I'm not happy about is that my paternity test will probably come back when I'm gone.  I'm going to text Jordan and tell him that if he gets the results when I'm gone just to wait until Monday to call me to discuss it.  I don't want anything taking away from the fact that I'll get 3 days of uninterrupted time with my boy.
That's it for now.  Thank you, all of you, for your words of encouragement over the last 6 months.  I knew I'd get through the bullshit, but I really did need more friends, even if I've never met any of you in person, to get me through all of it.  Love you all bunches :)

17 Days & Counting.....

Until vacation. I said goodbye to Kyle this morning. He's gotta head back down to the boat this afternoon and finish out his 28 days. As much as I hate to see him go, 17 days from now, he'll come crawling into my bed at 6am like usual and we'll be on a plane to Vegas by 5pm. Life is indeed good my friends.

I had to go to meet with the assistant superintendent of the schools yesterday regarding Brandon. He's allowed back to school on Friday, having served his 10 days. He was looking at an 80 day expulsion, but having no disciplinary record and decent grades really helped him out. Thank God we can put this whole thing behind us now.

This past couple of weeks I've been doing a lot of reflecting back on things that have happened over the past two years. I have something I want to write about what I concluded about all of that, but I'll probably do that later this afternoon in a post all of its own. No sense mixing all that in with everything in this post.

My weekend was good. Friday night did prove to be a good time, going out with EVERYONE from the hood for April's birthday. We're downright retarded sometimes.....

That's Coke in Kyle's cup we weren't going to take the chance he'd kicked out again.  He pre-gamed before we got there, so all was good.   Saturday night we took the kids to Dave & Busters.  Boy that was tons of fun.... I don't think I've ever wanted to stab so many Affliction douchebags in the eye in one place like I did this night.  For God sake, it was 5:30 and people were partying like they were in a club at closing time, but there were also hundreds of small children running around.  Not cool.  After that we went back home and laid around playing cards.  Sunday, we chilled most of the day then Kyle took me & Tara shopping.  He was our chauffeur in the big red truck.  It was nice to get out for a few hours with no kids.
While I was going through my camera I notice I haven't pulled any pictures off of it in like a month now.  Here are some random ones from the last few weekends, and no, I'm not including the hoochie snatch I mentioned in my last post.  Some things are better left unposted.....

This is a popular local radio station DJ.  Tara is molesting him...

It totally looks like I have a tan here.... I'm pasty white.....

We look like we're about to cause some trouble..... Oh wait, we did later on that night....

This is one of our other friends LaLa.  She totally worked the pole...

So much, in fact, that my ex-husband was giving her dollars and she didn't even have to take any clothes off!!

Me proving I can be friends with the ex....  Not very flattering but this was closing time and I'd had about 4 too many......
Anyways, that' about it for pictures right now.  I'll get on that other post as soon as I do some filing.  Yes, I am a filing clerk.  I don't understand why the company pays me 20someodd dollars an hour to do this, but whatever, it's mindless and passes the time.

I'll get back with y'all later :) Have a great day!
