Saturdays and Sundays are champagne brunch, so it's almost $20 a person. No champagne for me thank you. Give me iced tea, I need caffeine. I fill up my plate with all sorts of goodies. They actually have a great offering here for breakfast, especially if you like crab legs, shrimp, oysters and all that crap. Me? Not so much. I have a rules about my food and those three things fall under the "I don't eat if they've ever had or still have a shell" rule. Oh well, it's my loss, I'm sure. When I got back from filling my first plate, they had sat a large group in our area. I was not pleased. Why? Because it was 15 35-40 year old man boys who were still drunk from the night before. I wasn't amused. I didn't need to hear that early in the morning that the one that was still in the room passed out got to stick it in the hooker's ass. Really? I expect to hear that shit out of 21 year old frat boys, not 40 year olds acting like they're 21. Ugg. We quickly finish our meal and head out.
Kyle decided that he wanted to go up the Eiffel Tower, so that's what we did after breakfast. I'd never been up and we had a half price coupon, so that's where we headed. Seriously? I could have done without being able to see out of the elevator on the way up. It made me a little ill. We were told that the tower alone makes about $30,000 a day! Holy shit!! The hotel paid for itself in something like 3 months after being built. No wonder I can NEVER win anything there..... The view from the top was really cool, but it was SO cold! Actually it was raining a little when we got off the elevator. We waited and waited to see a Bellagio fountain show while we were up there, but they canceled it because of the wind. Oh well, Kyle got tons of cool pictures. After we're done, we roam the strip a little more.

We finally end up in Aria on our way back down the strip. I had a $100 a night offer to stay here, but free is better, so I declined. We take a walk through the casino, and yes, it's dark like everyone says it is. I like it though. Beautiful details all over the place. As we're heading toward the registration desk to go over to the shopping area, Crystals, and I see a blond who looks familiar, but I can't place her. She gets closer and I realize it's Shannon Tweed and Gene Simmons! I didn't even notice him because I was too busy trying to figure out who she was. They passed us and smiled because I'm like "OMG Kyle that was Gene Simmons!!" They were alone and I briefly entertained trying to get a picture with them, then decided against it. I know from watching their show that Gene hates Vegas, so he must have had some sort of business thing going on over the weekend. What it was, I have no clue. We didn't hear of him doing anything there.
We continue heading up the strip and end up at Madame Tussad's. I've been before, but I thought he would like it, so we went in. We had an excellent time being all retarded and doing stupid shit with the wax figures.

Kyle has been sipping on 24 oz cans of Bud Light since about 11am. He's pretty close to drunk. I'm annoyed that I don't even have a buzz. I take it upon myself to buy a bottle of Bacardi Limon and some Red Bull. God, that was expensive. Oh well. We get back up to the room and the drunk decides he wants a nap. Ok, well I'm gonna go downstairs and try to make some money. He whines about it. I'm more than annoyed now and leave anyway. I come back up to the room around 4:30, finally with a buzz, and he's whining about having to hang out by himself that evening because I had plans and they didn't include him. Whatever. I get a shower and get ready to go because Hurricane Mikey is supposed to be picking me up at 6:15 to head over to Linda Lou's show. 32 oz. of Bacardi & Red Bull does me just fine while getting ready. I try to tell him that there is plenty to do and that I don't understand what the big deal is. Finally I tell him to order the fights to the hotel room if he doesn't want to go out. This makes him happy I guess, because he finally shuts up.
Once I'm finally ready to go, I head down to the valet to catch my ride. Kyle isn't happy because I could be getting into a truck with a serial killer or something. Whatever, I'm a big girl, I can take care of it. We head off to the show and have a drink at the bar before and I get to meet Linda's mom. She's all cute :) The show was good, Linda has really done an awesome job putting the show together based on her book, with other interesting bits thrown in. If you don't already have her book, Bastard Husband, you should get it
here. After the show we got to have a drink with Linda, her mom and her sister Lori. It was really cool to finally meet both Linda and Mikey after following both their blogs for quite some time. Mom and Lori were a bonus since Linda does quite a bit of talking about them. Aren't we cute? She looks like she could be my Vegas sister, not Vegas Mom!!
After a round of drinks, the girls were going in to watch the comedy show, so Mikey and I decided to hit the strip. We wandered around, I felt up Donnie Osmond's package and ended up at Margaritaville for some food. We got the nachos because they were supposed to be great and they didn't disappoint.
(Before)
(After)
I suppose we should have just stuck with them rather than getting sandwiches as well because we really didn't do them justice. The cover band they had playing there was FREAKING AWESOME, we should have definitely got their name because I'd like to just chill and listen to them again. After that Mikey dropped me back at the hotel where I was greeted by a very disgruntled drunk boy. Good thing I had a pretty good buzz too. I rolled over and went to sleep because I didn't want to argue with him. We've gone 9 months without an argument, I wasn't going to get in one while we were on vacation.
Sunday morning all is well with him again. Whatever. Our plans were to go out to Hoover Dam, go visit the Pawn Stars pawn shop and go to the Welcome to Las Vegas sign. Those plans were thwarted by a BITCH of a rental car agent. Because my last name on my credit card hadn't been changed since my divorce she refused to rent me a car. Ok then, now what? We order room service for breakfast since I still have so much resort money to use. Who knew that 2 orders of french toast, an omelet with hashbrowns, 1 liter of Oj and a liter of Iced Tea would cost $80? Lol, now I know. It didn't matter a whole lot, so whatever. We ate and tried to figure out what we were going to do for the day since now we didn't have plans. In the shower I notice that the bruises are getting worse and now pretty much cover from my calves all the way up to my ass. Fucking great......
Tattoo guy had been texting me all weekend. He asked me to pickup some chips for him and I hadn't done that yet. Ok then, we're going to casino hop and get chips. I can't disappoint tattoo guy now can I? I went downstairs to VIP services and got us a late checkout for 2pm. The VIP clerk was like "girl!!! do you know you have all this resort credit left?? Get you a nice meal or something!!" I told her that we had just had $80 in room service and she laughed. She said "well, go spend it in the shops or something, I wouldn't leave anything!" I laughed about how animated she was about the whole thing. I asked which stores I could spend it in and she told me. Damn, I should have considered that before I spend $6 a beer in the gift shop. I called Kyle and he came down and we bought $230 worth of shit at the main gift shop, which had some pretty cool stuff.
We took all the crap back up to the room, packed up, took our bags down to the bell desk, checked out with a hotel bill of a whopping $29.00 (tip for room service and overage at the gift shop) and hit the strip. We wandered the strip for a couple of hours, then it was time to collect our bags and get to the airport. On one hand I was hoping that the weather back home would prevent us from leaving Vegas. On the other, I knew that one more day with Kyle and I might kill him. We got to the airport and got to our gate with an hour to spare. I sat down by an outlet so I could charge my phone and text Tara because she was in the car riding back from her weekend trip to Indianapolis. Kyle wandered around the airport.
The flight home was uneventful. I started to read my new Cosmo and after about 20 minutes laid my head down on my tray table and slept the whole way home, only woken up when we were told we were descending into Columbus. We start to descend and all the sudden it feels like someone is stabbing me in the eye. I could hardly stand it. Stupid sinus infection that won't go away!! We arrive safely and are back at the house by 1am.
Nicole is at the house with the kids. I wake her up and get her home. When I get back in the door I promptly go into the little guy's room and pick him up. I know that he's been miserable all weekend. He wakes up and gives me the smile that I needed. I lay him back down and he falls right to sleep. All is right in his world now. Kyle is in the room watching tv. He wants to know what's bothering me. I tell him I'm tired and we'll talk tomorrow, knowing full well that I just need to say it and get it over with. Sleep comes easily, I'm exhausted.
Monday morning comes and I need to get up and take everyone to school. The little guy has sores on his mouth now. Well, I guess he's not going to daycare again today. I drop the big kids off and head to his doctor's office. Luckily they take walk-ins from 8-9am. He's got hand, foot, mouth. Luckily it's only in his mouth. He can go back to daycare on Tuesday because he no longer has a fever. Awesome. I make plans not to come into work and spend the day sitting in awkwardness with Kyle and a baby who can't sleep because of the sores.
Finally the big kids get home from school and I can go take a nap. When I lay down Kyle says he's going to his house for awhile. Whatever. I've had more than enough of him at this point. I wake up around 6 and tend to kids needing things. Tara is coming over and I feel like I need to get the house in order because with her it's always a competition. She shows up around 6:30 and we catch up on everything that went on with both of our trips and some other stuff, all while catching the best buzz I've had in days.
Kyle is nowhere to be found this evening. No calls, no texts, nothing.......
