You See This?

That's me on Friday night at work.  The red is finally starting to wear out a little and isn't such a smack in the face when you look at me.  I look well rested, don't I?  Truth is, I was running on fumes at that point.  Last week I closed down the place Monday and Wednesday, then worked happy hour Thursday and happy hour Friday, went home, showered and was back by 8:30 to take money for the band at the door.  Somehow Nicole ended up in the car and apparently we all went to Waffle House because my backpack was filled with jelly when I woke up Saturday morning.....

Saturday I went to my 8 hour remedial driving class, where they actually let us out a little over an hour and a half early, so I went in and worked happy hour.  Ugh, by the time I ran out the door at 7, I was exhausted.  Brandon and I had plans to go out and at least watch the UFC fights Saturday night, but it didn't happen.  We grabbed dinner, headed back to the house and I think both of us were sleeping by 9:30.  Lame.As.Fuck.

Even worse?  He got up and left at like 8:00 Sunday morning because he had something to do with his kids, so I had absolutely no motivation to get out of bed.  I slept till 1.  Finally Gavin came in and asked me if I was ever going to get up.  I really wanted to answer a loud NO, but alas, the house wasn't going to clean itself and the laundry fairy wasn't going to fold those 6 loads of laundry I suppose...  I managed to get through cleaning up the house and showering and all that fun stuff.  I had hoped that I could get the lawn mowed on Sunday, but the weather is still pretty freaking shitty here and my backyard is still a pond, so that wasn't happening.  Oh well, when Little E gets lost when he comes back from his dad's, I'll know where to look.  The shit is damn near as tall as he is!  And let's face it, I hate mowing the lawn.  While I don't actually hate the act of doing it, I hate the way it makes me feel.  Of course I'm allergic to grass, so immediately my face turns purple, I sweat profusely and can't breathe.  Yeah, good shit.  It takes about an hour and 4-6 Benedryl to fix all that.  Ugh.

Since I haven't spent any time with the big kids lately, we decided that we'd head out and see Fast 5 that afternoon.  Gavin bitched the entire way there about how he would hate the movie.  The long and short of it was that he didn't hate the movie, he loved it.  Actually, all three of us had a good time.  Pretty much any movie where there are hot chicks/dudes, fast cars and gun fights will always be ok in my book.  I mean really, who doesn't like a Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Taye Diggs multicultural trifecta of hotness?  I digress...

Afterward we met Brandon back at my house and just hung out on the deck all evening.  It was sprinkling off and on, but nothing major.  I think we even called it a night relatively early being as I had no idea what Monday would bring and I was still exhausted.

Brandon took off work Monday morning to drive me to the BMV to pay the almost $1,000 I owed them in reinstatement fees.  I have NEVER had such a hassle free experience.  We had to go down to the south end of town to the reinstatement office, which I've had to deal with before and was super scared that we'd be there all day.  Turns out, getting there 10 minutes after they open is a good thing and I was called right up to give them all my money.  We were in and out in 10 minutes and I was directed to their central processing center where I could retake the written driver's exam.  YAY...  Fun shit.  We get over there and again there isn't a line.  After a 5 minute wait, I go back and take the test, only missing two and not even having to complete the entire thing because once I got to question 32 there was no way I could fail.  Awesome.  We were back on our side of town after all that in an hour.

We decided on breakfast and then he dropped me off at home because he had to head to work and it's over an hour commute for him.  I decided I had been productive enough for the time being and laid down for a nap.  Not half an hour later he called me and said he decided there was no point in going into work and he'd be back over after while.  Awesome.  I fell asleep and next thing I know I wake up to him pissing around on the laptop doing work.  Ok then.  Dude, you're ruining my nap...  At 12:30 I decided I should probably get up and shower just in case I get that dreaded phone call to go down to the courthouse.  By 1:30 my stomach was in knots and I get a phone call from Shellie, the other bartender.  Case continued....  Fuck.  Do we really have to drag this on longer??  Apparently we do.  I end up heading into work at the bar around 2 because the happy hour girl flaked out on her job duties and worked till about 2 this morning.  Fun shit.....  Not.

That brings us to today.  I called and scheduled my in car driving exam first thing this morning.  The soonest they could get me in is Friday.  Woo freaking hoo.  Ugh.  Seriously?  You're backed up that far at the two branches closest to me?  Whatever.  I'll take what I can get I suppose.  I'll be stressed out all week about this one.  I mean, I've only once ever been in an accident (I hit a drunk driver in Florida in a previous life, lol)  and had three speeding tickets (damn you Pennsylvania and Missouri!!).  Other than those, I think I'm a good driver.....  That maneuverability test scares me though.  Luckily I have good friends and am lined up to drive one of their Cavaliers, so it's a fairly small car.  Not that there's anything wrong with mine, but I'd rather drive something a little smaller....  If all goes well with that, then I'll be legal to drive again, albeit with limited privileges, but that's better than the none I've got right now I suppose....
