The Holidays, Part 4 - Happy Fucking New Year

New Years Day was pretty much a wash.  I laid in bed until 3 when I went over to my mom's house to have the standard pork and sauerkraut and watch Penn State beat LSU.   After that we went a couple of houses down to Joel's house.  He was hosting the Ohio State party.  I never turn down a party at his house, even if it is watching the stupid Buckeyes simply because of the food.  This guy truly missed his calling as a chef.  We caught the 2nd half of the game and grabbed some grub, which included his famous smoked turkey with the rest of the hood crew.  By the end of the game the party was showing no signs of letting up, but unfortunately I had to go.  Joel has two cats and if there's something that I'm allergic to the ABSOLUTE worst, it's cats.  I could hardly breathe.

Back home, showered, clothes (because I'm THAT allergic) changed and a massive dose of Benadryl later I felt better.  The one thing about Benedryl I don't like is that ever since I got pregnant with Ev, it puts me out like a light.  I was sleeping by 9:00 :(

Saturday was spent pretty much like Friday, laying around all day.  Early in the evening Kyle and I were trying to decide what to do for the night.  I walked out in the kitchen for something and when I got back into the room I saw that I had a missed call.  It was Noah's mom.  She left me a voicemail telling me to call her back immediately.
